Basic Trope: Ignoring problems solves them.
- Straight: Alice is constantly being annoyed by Bob, a Troll. She just ignores him, getting him to leave.
- Exaggerated: This is what Alice does whenever there's a problem.
- Downplayed: Bob isn't entirely ignored, but not too much attention is paid to him.
- Justified: If one ignores a Troll, chances are after long enough they'll get bored and leave.
- Inverted: Alice absolutely hyperfixates on Bob.
- Subverted: Alice puts up a good mental fight, but eventually Bob gets a response out of her.
- Double Subverted: It was a quick jab. Alice's not going to get distracted that easily.
- Parodied: Alice's ideal solution for putting out a fire is just to not pay any attention to it.
- Zig-Zagged: Sometimes Alice ignores, sometimes she doesn't.
- Averted: Alice pays attention.
- Lampshaded: "You sure know how to solve problems..."
- Invoked: Earlier on, Alice is similarly being annoyed. After getting provoked, a bystander consoles her and advises that she just ignores whatever's bothering her.
- Exploited: ???
- Defied: Alice's forced into responding.
- Discussed: "Is ignoring things that efficient?"
- Conversed: "Alice's a strange case. Seems like everything she ignores goes away!"
- Implied:: Bob's audibly trying to get a rise out of Alice off-screen, but Alice doesn't make a sound. After a few moments, Bob walks back on-screen visibly disappointed.
- Deconstructed: Bob goes too far, and Alice starts to suffer actual harm from being unresponsive.

- Played for Laughs: Alice's entire house is on fire, and she's standing there paying no attention to it with the goal of eventually causing the fire to go away by ignoring it.
