- Implied: Bobby talks about trying to mention something earlier, but being drowned out by a jackhammer.
- Played for Laughs: The jackhammer interrupts Bobby because Bobby kicked its ancient ancestor, back when it was a rock.
- Lampshaded: Bobby is interrupted by a jackhammer, and then says "Why the hell does a jackhammer ALWAYS go off when I speak?" Possibly while being interrupted by a jackhammer again.
- Invoked: Bobby doesn't want to hear something, so he grabs the nearest jackhammer and goes to town.
