- Exaggerated: The whole cast loves the rain and does a conga line in it.

- Alice only likes the rain when she's in wet weather gear.
- Alice is indifferent about the rain in contrast to Bob who hates it.
- Alice doesn't like being rained on but likes listening to the rain.
- Justified:
- There was a drought.
- Alice just likes the rain.
- Alice had reunited with a lost loved one she hasn't seen in years.
- It was hot and Alice wanted to cool down.
- Alice wanted rain because her farm was drying out.
- Nature's fire brigade is coming to the rescue.
- Inverted: Grey Rain of Depression.
- Subverted: Alice starts crying.
- Double Subverted: She was crying Tears of Joy.
- Parodied: Alice grumbles when the forecast predicts rain but it doesn't actually rain.Alice: "Ugh, the forecast said it was going to rain all day yesterday and it only rained in the evening"
- Zigzagged: Alice loves the rain, Bob hates it, Carol is indifferent, and Danny hates being outside in the rain but quite enjoys listening to it indoors.
- Averted: Alice isn't happy with the rain.
- Lampshaded: "I love the rain!"
- Enforced: "Rain gets such a bad rap...let's make a character who enjoys it!"
- Invoked: Someone with weather powers makes it rain after a drought.
