Basic Trope: Greek for the sake of Techno Babble.
- Straight: Emperor Evulz names one of his robot series with a Greek symbol.
- Exaggerated: Emperor Evulz names the entire robot with Greek symbols.
- Downplayed: Only one robot has the Greek symbol.
- Justified:
- It sounded cool to him.
- "Mechanical Warrior α" and "Mechanical Warrior β" are prototypes for testing and refining the internal mechanics of the series and Evulz knows how denoting prototype software with these symbols is mainstream.
- He's Greek and is very proud of his culture.
- He has a Foreign Culture Fetish for Greece.
- Inverted: The entire name is Greek except for the last symbol, which is a number.
- Subverted: Emperor Evulz was originally going to call it "Evil Thing α", but changed it at the last minute to "Monster Robot".
- Double Subverted: But later, he does name another robot "Evil Thing α".
- Zig-Zagged:
- Emperor Evulz has several series of robots, including one named in Greek, one in English, one in numbers, and one with no name.
- Emperor Evulz frequently changes his robots' names between Greek and other languages.
- Emperor Evulz and some of his collaborators do this, while others don't.
- Parodied: The robot is called "χαζος" (which is Greek for stupid).
- Averted: Emperor Evulz doesn't make a robot.
- Implied: The robot's name is never said or shown on screen, but Emperor Evulz can be briefly seen reading a book called "How to Speak in Greek".
- Lampshaded: "It's Greek to me. Literally, there's a Greek letter on Evulz' robot."
