Basic Trope: A character uses their finger to block an opponent's gun barrel.
- Straight: Jeff Jaguar faces Norma the Nimrod. Norma has a gun but, before she fires, Jeff blocks the barrel with his finger. Norma fires, Jeff is unharmed, the gun backfires and Norma gets an Ash Face.
- Exaggerated: Jeff explodes a entire military tank, by putting his arm on the cannon.
- Downplayed: The gun fails and doesn't explode, and the shooter doesn't get injured.
- Justified: Jeff is on a cartoon.
- Subverted: Jeff puts his finger on the shotgun, hoping that the shooter gets with a as face... but Norma shoots without any problems, and Jeff gets coated in gunpowder.
- Double Subverted: Jeff uses this trick, and he finger gets coated in gunpowder, causing to the finger shoots into his face.
- Parodied: Jeff put his finger on a barrel of a shotgun, and the shotgun dies.
- Inverted: Jeff puts his gun on the finger of the shooter.
- Zig-Zagged: Jeff, decides to put his finger on the shooter gun, but the shooter sayes:
