Basic Trope: Pizza in animated works always has red spots without much variety.
- Straight: No matter what toppings you ask for, every pizza you order will be drawn with pepperoni on it.
- Exaggerated: Pepperoni pizza is the literal only pizza possible, and you can't even order other toppings, or even for a margherita.
- Downplayed: Your pizza will be drawn with all the toppings you ordered... and some pepperoni as well, regardless of whether or not you ordered it.
- Justified: It's a cheap place with the pepperoni already in the pizza base. EG: "Welcome to Pizzeria Economica, would you like the Pepperoni or the Pepperoni/Cheese?"
- Inverted: No pizza you order will be drawn with pepperoni on it even if you ask for pepperoni.
- Subverted: Almost every pizza you order will be drawn with pepperoni on it, with the exception of broccoli pizza. If you order broccoli pizza, the broccoli will actually be drawn on the pizza.
- Double Subverted: There's still some pepperoni on that broccoli pizza.
- Parodied:
- A huge slice of pepperoni is used as the base, where it is smothered with pizza sauce, cheese, and small balls of dough on top. It is literally unavoidable to taste the pepperoni.
- You get only pepperoni slices on the dough. Not even cheese, not even pizza sauce.
- Zigzagged: Regardless of whether you ordered it, sometimes your pizza will be drawn with pepperoni, sometimes it won't. And whether or not the drawing has the toppings you ordered with (or without) the pepperoni varies.
- Averted: The pizza will be drawn according to what toppings you ordered.
- Enforced: To save time and money, the executives insist the pizza have pepperoni to ensure the audience knows what it is.
- Lampshaded: "You ordered a cheese pizza? Looks like a pepperoni pizza to me."
