Basic Trope: The AI is programmed in such a way that it makes stupid choices.
- Straight: CCC (Computer-Controlled Carol) keeps using the same attack when you're blocking her and doesn't try to dodge your attacks.
- Exaggerated: CCC doesn't even try to fight you when you don't move, then falls off the stage.
- Downplayed: CCC fails only when you set a low AI difficulty level.
- CCC actually has a decent strategy - if you follow along and do same or complimentary actions. However she utterly fails to adapt.
- Justified:
- CCC is portrayed as a dunce.
- CCC isn't advanced enough to do any more than doing the same attack.
- CCC isn't fighting you, she's training you on basic moves.
- Inverted: CCC has Artificial Brilliance and is a Perfect Play A.I..
- Subverted: After the tenth block, CCC pulls off a devastating counterattack when you can't expect it.
- Double Subverted: It then goes back to the previous routine, and never uses that counterattack again.
- Parodied: CCC tries to fight a wall, leaving Alice alone. When Alice tries to get it to attack her, CCC then starts attacking another wall.
- Zig Zagged: A.I. Roulette
- Averted: CCC's AI isn't that competent, but you can't call her stupid (it's on the level of an intermediate player).
- Enforced:
- Laughing at CCC's dumbness is advertised as part of the game's fun.
- They'd only just started coding the AI when this alpha was released.

- After the fight, the player character remarks "Maybe this could have been a challenge if the AI was actually programmed well!"
- "The term "Artificial Intelligence" never felt so appropriate!"
- Exploited: The player character sets up a death trap for CCC and her computer-controlled comrades consisting of a valuable indestructible sword completely encased in lava.
