* In 2000, one of the first examples of web-based MemeticMutation produced a one-hit wonder. A Canadian art student created a Website/{{Geocities}} page featuring animated [=GIFs=] of hamsters dancing to a sped-up sample of Roger Miller's "Whistle Stop" from Creator/{{Disney}}'s version of ''WesternAnimation/RobinHood1973''. This was later sampled into a Eurodance song called the "Hampster Dance", credited to Music/HamptonTheHamster.
