The strong will prosper.
While traveling through infinity, it's not a surprise that passengers will encounter sights they might find better left unseen.

Floor-Specific

  • "The Backrooms'' captures the feeling of the original post, of being trapped in a never-ending liminal maze of identical corridors.
God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you
  • "Tumblr Ballpit" not only feels incredibly liminal, but once you fall in the actual ballpit, there’s no going back, and you have to run from a ball with teeth surrounding it’s entire body named "Toothy".
    • Toothette can be seen as a lot more scary, given that after you open the cage, you’ll have to bum rush back with her chasing you.
  • "Frightening Floor" has the elevator suspended over a giant pit leading into the mouth of some gigantic creature... and then tells the passengers that one of them needs to jump into the pit... and if they refuse, the elevator floor gives way and damns everyone to the pit.
  • "Infected Apartment" starts out relaxed, but the missing texture infection will rapidly swell to a pandemic, the music growing in intensity as the level becomes covered in deadly surfaces. The infection can (and likely will) even modify the Regretevator itself during the last few seconds.
  • Enphoso, the shopkeeper for Glig Glags and Doo-dads in the "Shop Space" floor, can get pretty unnerving - especially when its normally whimsical voice drops to a low, borderline-demonic tone as it threatens would-be thieves.
    • Not only that but in actual Glaggleland lore, the Enphoso is a malevolent entity that has committed several horrible deeds.
  • "Suspiciously Long Hallway" is home to TARMITE, a speeding wall who randomly rushes down the hall to crush players. The floor fosters a healthy sense of paranoia via the fog obscuring it - once you hear its scraping, it's too late to save yourself.

Elevator NPCs

  • MR is a rare NPC who can arrive to the elevator. Its mere presence causes other NPC passengers to run away in fear, lights them on fire or inflicts terrible fates on them if they try to enter: The normally happy-go-lucky Poob will commit suicide by train, Pest gains Black Eyes of Evil, and Spud! explodes on the spot. Anyone in the elevator will have to deal with this thing staring directly at them as it continues to scare off other passengers and plays havoc with the lights.
    • Not only that, but at the Frightening Floor, - which is fuel enough, if the floor drops, he will fall in, but after, the lights will go out, and he will come back.
  • Mannequin_Mark is nowhere near scary in general, but if you drink the Wet Cement item in front of him or get too close to him while having the cement effect after drinking that said item, Mark will suddenly punch you without warning, which can be startling to some as he's normally a passive and kind (if somewhat neurotic) character.
  • The sorry state that Spud! is in, having had his body genetically mangled until he's barely recognizable as a Robloxian, with his legs completely removed, arms elongated, and his mouth turned sideways. He's also quite mentally unstable as a result, to the point where he can literally explode from anger if provoked enough.
  • Prototype is a very silly character, but spray him, and he'll remove his exoskeleton's faceplate to dry it off, revealing his razor-sharp teeth and large bulbous eyes - a somewhat threatening visual for a normally cute-looking Robot Buddy.

Other

  • The 2024 April Fools' Day update is... creepy, to say the least. At random times, the entire map will become dark, complete with a Scare Chord. And worse, if you're playing on a private server, you will sometimes get struck by lightning out of nowhere.
    • It's even acknowledged in-universe by a horrified Split, who says in one of her dialogue that she thought her birthday was gonna be fun, but instead it ended up "really scary".
    • On certain floors, you will get chased after by purple-colored NPCs that are simply titled "FREAK". If you land on a small floor, and these NPCs spawn, there will not be enough space to run from them, so you may as well accept your fate... unless you can shut off the Freak Factory.
    • At certain points, an NPC named The Follower will appear. A Humanoid Abomination completely covered in shadow, it very slowly follows the player. And once it comes in contact with you, it immediately kills you. Oh, and if it's been there for long enough, text will eventually show up saying "They get closer". The Follower was later properly added to the game, but you'd have to go out of your way to encounter it - and its appearance is a little deserved, as it is your punishment for eating Buck.
