Oh holy Christ yes. Let's give a brief overview, shall we?
- The opening scene, in which the diplomatic representative is murdered, and then the security guard commits suicide by slashing his own throat.
- The rebellion. All of it. From the rebels going room to room in the hotel and massacring everyone they find - including the moment where Annie hears the terrified woman in the next room begging for her life before you hear the sounds of blows landing and agonized screams as they kill her, to the slaughter on the rooftop, to the rebels killing hostages by running them over with a goddamned truck. The last bit is just so sudden and comes out of nowhere - you're expecting them to be shot like the hostages earlier, but nope, they have an even more brutal way to do it.
- Annie's near-rape, which Jack is being forced to witness while their terrified children huddle in the bushes.
- The rebel leader attempting to force Lucy to shoot Jack, with Would Hurt a Child special mention to him holding a gun to her head in an attempt to "motivate" her.
