- Carlos Alhambra, a former Hunter and one of the patients at Appleton Asylum. It's unknown (at this point...) what actually happened to him, but he was left a shell of a human being, unable to do anything but drool and hum nursery rhymes.

Monster Hunter Vendetta
- What actually happened to Carlos Alhambra: the Shadow Lord set a trap for and captured him and his team, and put a demon in his mind that consumed all his memories, ultimately leaving only a couple nursery rhymes and, the better to torture him with, the crystal-clear memory of the mission on which it happened.
- Owen manages to gain access to his remaining memories, and Carlos, after having been in this state for well over a decade, has only two wishes: "Kill me...and avenge me."
- The Shadow Lord tries to do the same to Earl, but is defeated before his demon can do too much damage.
