How scary could a collection of stories and comics about cute, fluffy creatures possibly get? You're about to find out...
General
- To put it simply, a massive number of fluffy pony works are about the torture, slaughter, dismemberment and general suffering of fluffies, inflicted on them by sadistic humans, wild animals or even other fluffies. Because fluffies are so dumb, friendly and trusting, they will often come right up to people asking "Hewwo, nyu fwiend?" only to realize too late that they've walked straight into the clutches of an abuser. Being artificially engineered "biotoys" with no natural defense mechanisms, all they can do is "SCREEEEEEEEE!" as they're tortured and killed, sometimes in front of their family members. Creators are rarely shy about showing the gory results, either.
- Amputating a limb is a common tactic by abusers to punish fluffies. Some fluffies have all their limbs removed and are called "pillowfluffs."
- Fluffy mills exploit the Explosive Breeder nature of fluffies in order to produce and sell as many fluffy foals as possible. Mares are used as Breeding Slaves or turned into "milkbags," which entails amputating all their limbs so they can be used as live milk-drinking stations for foals. Foals deemed unsellable (usually brown or dull-colored foals) are killed on the spot, and stallions get injected with the fluffy equivalent of Viagra to make them more willing to "perform".
- Within a feral herd, a smarty and sometimes his toughies may be the only ones with breeding rights to the mares. Sexually frustrated lower-ranking stallions will sometimes resort to raping foals (deemed "enfie babbehs"), which is exactly as horrifying as it sounds. Some smarties will designate one or more foals as as enfie babbehs to punish their parents, or reward toughies by giving them enfie babbehs.
- Feral mothers and their foals are extremely vulnerable to being abused. Abusers love to torture and kill a fluffy mother's foals in front of her and watch her plead fruitlessly for their lives. If the mother isn't killed afterward, she may be turned into a Breeding Slave if she has a desirable coat color.
- When there's no food, starving feral fluffies may resort to cannibalism, with foals being the first to be eaten. Some psychotic fluffies develop a taste for fluffy meat and will cannibalize other fluffies simply because they want to, referring to intestines as "tummeh sketties".
Specific works
- In the comic The Hunt
, fluffy hunting is an annual sport. A batch of foals are released into the arena, allowed to grow into adults, live peacefully, and breed, until the hunting season begins. People pay for the privilege to enter the arena, hunting and slaughtering adult fluffies. Most kill their targets quickly, but some leave the fluffies to expire slowly and in agonizing pain. Foals are left alone until the last day of the hunt, which is Family Day—older children join the hunt and kill as many fluffy foals as they can for prizes, while younger children play games like "pin the tail on the fluffy" (stabbing metal needles with fake tails at the end of them into live foals). When the hunt is over, the keepers kill any remaining fluffies and clean the arena in preparation for next year. - In From bestes babbeh to munstah babbeh, an alicorn foal's mother is killed and eaten by dogs, leaving them an orphan. They try to find a new mummah, but the first one screams and runs in terror when she realizes the foal is an alicorn, accidentally trampling and killing her own foals in the process. The second adult fluffy they meet is a smarty who tries to kill them and injures them so badly that their eye falls out of their head.
- Fluffy Applejack is lured into a bear trap with applesauce spaghetti. She eats it while crying before the trap closes on her head with a gory "CRUNCH!"
- A recipe for ortolan foals: shave off all the fur, cut off the tips of the hooves, remove the organs (while it's still alive), drown in Armagnac, and roast for 15 minutes. Bon appetit!
- In Grandma's Christmas tradition, a grandmother receives a fluffy foal for Christmas. She raises her for a year, has her impregnated, and then smashes her with a blunt instrument and forces her to miscarry several fetuses, which are then chopped up and cooked right in front of her. The fluffy mother is then cooked for Christmas dinner, which involves ripping all of her fur off, injecting her with nuts and spices, cutting off her hooves, and cutting her open to shove stuffing into her belly. The last few panels show the grandmother receiving another foal as a present, with the roasted corpse of her previous fluffy in the background.
