"Hey Brother"

True is the debut album of Swedish DJ Avicii. It was released on the 13th of September in 2013 through PRMD Music, Lava Records and Sony Music Entertainment's Columbia Records.

Five singles were released with this album: "Wake Me Up", "You Make Me", "Hey Brother", "Addicted to You" and "Lay Me Down".

I'm addicted to tropes:

• Common Time: "Wake Me Up" and "Hey Brother" use this time signature.
• Epic Rocking:
  • "Dear Boy" is almost 8 minutes long (at 7:59), making it one of his longest tracks that isn't a remix.
  • The same goes for the last two additional tracks in the album's Bonus Edition, "Canyons" (7:29) and "EDOM" (8:15).
• Face on the Cover: The cover is a silhouette of Bergling with the album's title written in front of it.
• Ode to Youth: "Wake Me Up!": "...Wish that I could stay forever this young, not afraid to close my eyes."
• Outlaw Couple: A lesbian couple in the music video for "Addicted To You" are partners in crime. They even make out while they're in the middle of robbing a bank.
• Special Guest: All the songs besides "Heart Upon My Sleeve" (which is an instrumental) have other people singing them, such as Aloe Blacc ("Wake Me Up") and Dan Tyminski ("Hey Brother").
• Taking You with Me: In the music video for "Addicted To You", after the cops take down one of the bank robbers, the other one uses her explosive device to exact revenge on the cops.
• Thicker Than Water: The phrase gets paraphrased in "Hey Brother".
  Hey sister, know the water's sweet but blood is thicker.
