Tropes in The Tossers music:

  • Anti-Christmas Song: Their single Merry Christmas, wishing that the corrupt, criminal, and downright scummy get exactly what's coming to them as the hungry and homeless suffer.
  • Bedlam House: "The Nut House"
  • Chicago: Almost always plays a role in their albums, the song "Emerald City" might as well be a giant love letter to it.
  • Corrupt Politician: The song "Political Scum".
  • The Irish Diaspora: Mentioned as a major part in what made Chicago the city it is today.
  • Shout-Out
    • "No Loot, No Booze, No Fun"
Oh Dee Dee Ramone where have you gone/In misery all day long, to shoot some dope right into your arm
