Tropes in King Black Acid

  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: “Let’s Burn” is about psychotic criminal boys and how much attention and love they get from girls.
  • Cover Song: They often perform covers of popular music but in rock more than original music in their performances.
  • Intercourse with You: “Somebody - They Want to Fuck You”
  • Mood Whiplash: Their song “I’m on Love with a Girl” starts out like it’s going to be a big rock song before going to cutting to a meditation-sounding part.
  • Short-Runners: It’s safe to say their work and glory was mostly in the 90s and early-2000s and they faded as a group around mid-2010.
  • Surreal Music Video: “I’m in Love with a Girl” shows the group mirrored and has special effects on them to emphasize the emotion. They don’t have the word “acid” in their name for nothing.
