Tokyo Aliens is a manga series written and illustrated by NAOE and published by Square Enix.

Tokyo high-school student Akira Gunji is startled out of his average life by a battle between a stranger and the hottest guy at his school breaking out on the train while he's on his way home. From there, he goes on to discover that aliens are real, they come to Earth all the time, and there's a special agency on Earth specifically for managing our interstellar tourists, the Alien Management Organization, abbreviated as AMO. More than that, Akira discovers that his deceased father, who he thought was a cop who died in the line of duty, was in reality an AMO officer, who lost his life protecting against an alien threat that hasn't been seen since. In an effort to follow in his dad's footsteps and help the aliens on Earth, Akira joins the AMO as a special officer, partnering with Sho Tenkubashi, who's the current ace of the AMO (as well as Akira's classmate).

Tokyo Aliens has been serialized in the shonen magazine gfantasy since 2020, and incorporates elements of action, science-fiction, and comedy.

This show provides examples of:

  • Adaptive Armor: The way that Akira's armor works.
  • Invisible to Normals: Most of the aliens on earth are look indistinguishable from regular humans, most of the time.
  • Tokyo Is the Center of the Universe: Subverted...sort-of. Though the AMO is a worldwide organization, and it's mentioned aliens new to Earth go through orientation in the United States, the bulk of the plot, and a lot of serious attacks are still centralized to Tokyo.
