[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/56fe19e1d42636b24f37ecf2023b5cc4.jpg]]

Aya Asagiri is a very [[TheWoobie misfortunate]] girl. Every day she is viciously bullied at school, only to come home and get beaten up by her older brother, Kaname. After a particularly vicious day, an image of a strange girl shows up on her computer and offers her 'Magical Power'. Before she knows what she is doing, she clicks 'yes'. The next day a pink, toy-looking gun shows up in her school locker. It isn't too long before she has to use it, with [[{{Gorn}} bloody results...]]

Watching from the shadows is Aya's mysterious classmate, Yatsumura Tsuyuno. She claims to want Aya as an ally, but can she be trusted?

Expect more chaos to ensue.

''Mahou Shoujo Site'' is a MagicalGirlGenreDeconstruction manga by Sato Kentaro, the same mangaka that brought you ''Manga/MagicalGirlApocalypse''. The series began serialization in ''Champion Tap!'' in 2013. An anime adaptation [[https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2018-01-24/magical-girl-site-anime-reveals-cast-song-artists-april-debut/.126839 began airing in April 2018.]]

----
!!Tropes depicted in this work

* AbusiveParents: Aya's father punches her brother Kaname because he got a 98 on his test score instead of a 100. It's one of the reasons why Kaname tortures Aya.
* AccidentalMurder: Two of the series first deaths were caused by [[NiceGuy Aya]] teleporting two bullies, one an attempted rapist, in front of a train nearby with her magical stick.
* ActionGirl: Most of the girls, though Sayuki stands out.
* AdaptationDistillation: While generally very faithful to the manga, the anime removes certain plot points or entire characters.
** Makoto Honomoto, Aya's classmate who has a crush on her and does what he can to help her, was entirely scrapped from the anime.
** In the manga, there is a minor subplot about Sarina's older sister; as it turns out, Rina Shioi stole her appearance, so they look identical. Sarina is originally introduced to the Magical Girl Site after she tries to investigate why a girl who looks exactly like her sister (Rina) is hospitalized. This subplot was removed in the anime.
** [[spoiler:The Site Admin's assault on the magical girls in Episode 11 goes differently - it happens quite earlier than it does in the manga (for reference, Kaname is still missing in the anime while it happens), Nana is among the admins attacking the magical girls (in the manga, Nana only warns her peers about the ambush and isn't directly involved) and as soon as one of the admins is killed, they drop the pretense of being baited and immediately attack the girls in the open]].
** [[spoiler:Because the Site Admin's assault happens earlier]], Aya's [[spoiler:'last date' with Yatsumura and their BigDamnKiss]] are cut out entirely.
* AdultsAreUseless: None of the teachers in Aya's school realize she is being bullied despite very obvious evidence. They don't seem to care much for Yatsumura's absences too.
** Aya's parents are even worse - neither of them realize that Kaname psychically and emotionally tortures his sister, even though he binds and strangles Aya while ''both parents are at home''. When Aya and Yatsumura are attacked by the Site Admin and are quickly overpowered, their only reaction at the sounds coming from Aya's room is to assume "Aya must be so excited to finally have friends at home".
** The teachers in ''Sept'' are possibly even ''worse'' than Aya's parents. Once they learn Kuraki has been raping his students, and even has an entire ledger of photos of Tsurara naked and in various sexual poses, they do nothing to even reach out to her and more concerned with covering it up. [[spoiler: And then it turns out one of the teachers, Reiko Maguchi, has been sleeping with Kuraki too and is so pissed off he was sleeping with someone else she hung up all the photos of Tsurara and instigated the events which lead to Tsurara's suicide. Even when Hyouka tells one of the teachers about the photos on the wall, he ''still'' tries to keep Kuraki's actions a secret and does nothing to help Tsurara. Not even her suicide will get him to admit anything.]]
** Averted entirely in the final battle. [[spoiler:Many of the girls' adult support figures, even including Aya and Matsumura's biological father, come to assist them in taking down the King. They do a pretty good job holding the line, too.]]
* AndNowForSomeoneCompletelyDifferent: [[spoiler: After the brutal KillEmAll at the end of Volume 8, Volume 9 begins with a completely different cast of characters.]]
* AntiHero: Almost all the Magical Girls, except Aya, have no problem using their powers to torment, manipulate, torture, or even kill others. The only reason they even count as 'heroes' is because they are against "Tempest" [[spoiler: which will cause the end of the world]] and Kaname, Aya's sadistic brother with a God complex [[spoiler: who manages to get his hands on Nijimi's magical Stick.]]
* ArcWords: The Tempest -- when a magical girl plugs her magical stick to her computer and loads the Mahou Shoujo site, she can see a countdown to "The Tempest". During the majority of the manga, Aya, Yatsumura, Shioi and other magical girls try to find out what "The Tempest" actually is.
* ArtEvolution: The art style past chapter 30 or so is notably different from the art in earlier chapters. The colors are much brighter and the characters have sharper, more mature features.
* ArtStyleDissonance: Has a very cutesy art style. But there's ''[[HighPressureBlood so]]'' [[HighPressureBlood much blood...]]
* ApocalypseHow: In the first chapters, Yatsumura muses that the "Tempest" might end in the extinction of mankind but quickly dismisses the idea. [[spoiler: She was actually right]].
* AttemptedRape: Sarina and her GangOfBullies try to set up an older classmate to 'take Aya's first time'. It ends badly for him.
* BackForTheFinale:
** [[spoiler: The third "Silent Night" chapter features a brief glimpse at nearly all the other living characters connected to the main cast and how they're reacting to the Tempest. This includes Kayo's parents and old best friend, Sayuki's mom, Yamai, Yuka Sumikura, Hiroko Shimozono and the other Magical Girls Kayo and Sakaki approached, as well as Kayo's former bully Melissa. The following chapter, when the family members of Aya's group are converted into sperm as well, implies only Hiroko and the other Magical Girls are still human.]]
** Likewise, the final few chapters feature all of the cast [[spoiler:in the changed timeline]], showing their happier, if not totally improved lives [[spoiler:thanks to Aya intervening before their traumatic incidents occur]]. Even the cat Aya wanted to keep makes a reappearance [[spoiler:as the Asagiri family pet]].
* {{Beach Episode}}: Chapter 32/episode 8. Happened only because [[spoiler: Yatsumura has only a few days left to live and Aya wanted to make the best out of it.]]
* BerserkButton: Just the mere sight of Shioi is enough for Nijimi to switch from her usual bubbly and cute personality into a murderous one. Shioi, as a magical girl hunter, murdered Nijimi's best friend and attempted to kill Nijimi. And Nijimi won't ever let her forget about that.
* BigBlackout: [[spoiler:A catastrophic blackout in Tokyo (and quickly the world) marks the start of the Tempest.]]
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Akai, Tsurara's boyfriend in ''Sept'' seems kind and supportive...[[spoiler:until the nude photos taken by Kuraki are plastered on the school's walls, at which point he immediately starts calling her a whore and and screams that she should go kill herself. [[DrivenToSuicide Which she does, gladly.]]]]
* BlackAndGrayMorality: The Site Admins are evil monsters, who appear to be using the magical girls to enact an apocalyptic event in the form of Tempest. But most of the magical girls, despite eventually turning against the Site Admins, have no problem with acts of destruction, torture, and murder.
* BlandNameProduct: Gougle instead of Google.
* BlessedWithSuck: The magical girls are granted a rainbow of unique powers by their sticks but unfortunately fueled by their [[CastFromHitpoints lifespan]]. Not that many of them mind it, their lives being horrible enough for them to be fine with dying young.
* BrickJoke: When Yatsumura first comes over to Aya's house, she says that her brother is good-looking, and points out that any other girl would say the same if they didn't know about his monstrous tendencies. When Nijimi comes to Aya's house to get information out of her and stumbles onto Kaname instead, her first immediate thought is raving about how hot he is.
* BrutalHonesty: Yatsumura.
* TheBully: Sarina and her two goons, Erika and Kawano.
* CastFromLifeSpan: Every time a magical girl uses her stick, her lifespan is shortened. This leads to Shioi having the organs of a ''70-year-old.''
* TheChosenOne: According to Site Admins, only the girl who uses her stick the most and gathers the most energy with it can survive The Tempest. Sarina quickly points out that the girl who uses her stick enough will die before The Tempest has even started since casting magic takes a huge toll on the girl's body. Later, Aya comes to the same conclusion.
* ClusterFBomb: With the exception of Aya, pretty much all the characters have ''extremely'' filthy mouths. Especially Yatsumura.
* ColdBloodedTorture: How Yatsumura deals with the man who murdered her family and threatened to come back for her.
** In chapter 42, [[spoiler: Kaname gets knocked off, locked and raped several times by the police officer, Misumi Kiichro.]]
* DarkMagicalGirl: Shioi, and possibly Yatsumura. Also Sarina
* DeclarationOfProtection: In chapter 15 and 16, after [[spoiler: Sarina]] attempts to attack Aya and a weakened Yatsumura.
-->"I don't care what happens to my body... Even if my body breaks apart... I will definitely... ''Protect Yatsumura-san!''"
* DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu: Sarina infuriates Site Admin by pointing out the rules of Tempest contradict each other. [[spoiler: She gets shot but survives.]]
* DisproportionateRetribution: It's eventually revealed that Sarina and her posse bullied Aya because... Aya didn't thank Sarina for looking after her when Aya first transferred to the class.
* DomesticAbuse: Aya's and Kaname father beats Kaname to make sure Kaname will get accepted into Tokyo University (because he himself didn't get) while he mostly ignores his younger daughter Aya. Since Kaname is insanely jealous that their father doesn't expect the same from Aya, he regularly tortures her. Their mother seems entirely oblivious to both.
* DoubleStandardRapeFemaleOnMale: Mikari regularly uses her broomstick to sodomize her butler.
* EarlyBirdCameo: One of the protagonists of Part 2 shows up in the crowd of one if Nijimi's concerts in the anime.
* EnemyMine: Shoi, of all people, decides to team up with Aya and Yatsumura in chapter 20, to try and find out how to defeat Tempest.
** Nijimi is usually all smiles and sunshine, unless she comes across [[spoiler: Shioi. Aya and Yatsumura have a really hard time stopping Nijimi from killing Shoi on the stop.]]
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: Mikari's first scene in Chapter 22 shows her forcing her butler to strip, sodomizing him with her magical broomstick, and flying him into the ocean. ''Yyyyyeah...''
** Yatsumura, Nijimi, and Shioi are unnerved by the insanity present in Kosame's group, despite their propensity for torture and murder.
** Sarina hates being lied to. Upon learning the contradiction of what the sticks do and what the site says about Tempest, she points it out directly to a Site Admin.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: Each magical girl is represented by a shape. Whenever she uses her powers, her pupils will change into that shape; in addition, the shape will also appear as a "gauge" on her arm that lets her know how much magic she can use until her lifespan finally runs out.
** Aya: Hearts
** Yatsumura: Crescent moons
** Shioi: Stars [[note]] The shape changes depending on which stolen power she is using; her pupils turn diamond-shaped when she attacks Aya and Yatsumura while using a different power.[[/note]]
** Nijimi/[[spoiler: Kaname]]: Spades
** Mikari: The letter V
** Sarina: The Greek letter [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phi phi]]
** Kosame: The letter Q
** Sayuki: The letter X
** Kiyoharu: The letter S
** Asahi: The letter H
** Alice: The numeral Ⅳ
** Mikado: The symbol - (Minus)
** Yuu: Stars
** Kayo: Suns
** Sakaki: The Greek letter Σ (sigma)
** Arareya: The symbol ∞ (infinity)
** Shimozono: The symbol * (asterisk)
** Tsurara and later Hyouka: The symbol for Libra
** Anjou: The Angstrom symbol
** [[spoiler: Reiko: The symbol for Scorpio]]
** And apparently when a magical girl is reaching the end of her lifespan, their shape changes to an X.
* ExtremeDoormat: Aya.
** Aya's mother, who watches her husband abuse Kaname regularly. She does seem concerned about her son, but never intervenes. She also seems to suspect something is off about Aya when she's around Kaname, but so far has done nothing.
* {{Foil}}: Surprisingly, Aya and her brother Kaname are this due to being victims of domestic abuse. The only difference is that one is willing to make others suffer for stress relief while the other tries to endure it until finding someone who cares.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: In Chapter 1, Aya reacts to her father's touch with recoil and fear. [[spoiler:Much later on, we learn that he was abusive to ''everyone'' in the family, not just Kaname.]]
* {{Fanservice}}: Chapter 21 includes naked shots of Yatsumura and Aya while taking a shower.
* GoodParents:
** Sayuki's mother and father [[spoiler: spent a year trying to find her after she was kidnapped, and Mrs. Ringa finished off the bastards who'd been torturing and raping Sayuki. Even though her mother's in jail, Sayuki clearly has a good relationship with her and she's the first person we're shown Sayuki smiling at.]]
** Kiyoharu's mother is completely supportive of her and has done everything she can to help her daughter transition. [[spoiler: It's no wonder Kiyoharu was so distraught when the Site Admins killed her, but thankfully they used Alice's Stick to undo it. When Kiyoharu can't give her mom all the details about the battle with the Site Admins, her mother still tells her to go and support her friends.]]
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: The murderer of Yatsumura's family, in very rare instance of being sliced vertically by the side, by Sarina's new power.
* HijackedByGanon: [[spoiler: The true villain of ''MSS'', Rei Kurorogi, was the villain of ''Manga/MagicalGirlApocalypse''. After his death, he claimed the body of the King and then plotted his revenge in secret by making the Site and the Tempest project.]]
* HisNameIs: ''All the freaking time.'' Generally, if someone's about to reveal some important information, expect them to get interrupted in some way. It gets pretty ridiculous at times.
* HopeSpot: [[spoiler:After the magical girl alliance manage to ''kill'' one of the Admins, the mood in the group goes up with them expressing hope for their future and fight. [[ArcWords Unfortunately]], [[FromBadToWorse everything leaps downhill from there]].]]
* TheHunterBecomesTheHunted: [[spoiler:Chapter 50 shows Sarina and Asahi work together to kill site admin Hachi after realizing the weakness of its multiplying powers.]]
* {{Hypocrite}}:
** Melissa, the girl who led the bullying against Kayo Komura, uses the justification that Kayo has inherited her father's blood and will become a murderer too, so she's dangerous. This is coming from a girl who [[spoiler: hired someone to brutalize and ''rape'' Kayo's best friend. But why did she really do it? She was trying to blackmail Kayo into giving her money so she could ''buy a handbag''. And she's the one who claims Kayo's a potential serial killer in the making.]]
** Anything Kaname says to prop himself up over others he deems inferior comes off as stupidly hypocritical. He mocks Keisuke for objectifying idols when Kaname objectifies Aya as stress relief, and despises his father for abusing him for no real reason while he, again, does the same to Aya.
* ItAlwaysRainsAtFunerals: It rains at [[spoiler:Nijimin's]] funeral.
* {{Kawaiiko}}: Amagai Kosame seems to try and invoke, what with her hair bow, choker, eye-patch, and stuffed animal she carries around, but ultimately subverted with her tendency to cut and clear mental instability.
** Nijimin as well. She's an IdolSinger who dresses up as a dog and gives Aya and Yatsumura cutesy nicknames, but given what series this is, she's also mentally unstable herself and it doesn't take long for her murderous side to come out.
* KillEmAll: [[spoiler:Chapter 55/Volume 8 ends with almost every single one of the protagonists, including Yatsumura, dying or outright killed when fighting against the Site Admins. It also remains ambiguous whether the ones remaining, including Aya, ultimately survive or not.]]
** [[spoiler: Subverted once the story returns to the main cast after focusing on Kayo and Sakaki, where it turns out Sarina, Asahi, Rina, Kosame, Kiyoharu, and Sayuki are all alive, with their brutal deaths undone thanks to Kayo and Sakaki's timely intervention (by copying Alice's stick). Aya is later revealed to be alive as well, with the implication the only ones who were killed off are Yatsumura (who died because her life force ran out and may have been reborn as the new Ni admin) and Mikari (who was the first to truly die in Chapter 55 when she got shot in the head).]]
* LaserGuidedKarma:
** Sarina, Kawano and Erika spend the first chapter making Aya's life a living hell. Erika and the guy she tried to have rape Aya end up run over by a train after Aya defends herself. Sarina ends up slashing her own throat when Yatsumura intervenes in her attack on Aya. Kawano believes that Aya cursed all of them for bullying her and is paranoid that she is next.
** At the end of chapter 42, [[spoiler: Kaname is abducted by the cop investigating Naoto's murder, gets locked in his basement, and is raped.]]
** The girls who bullied Yuka Sumikura [[spoiler: get electrocuted by Shioi, though whether or not they died is left unclear.]]
** Chapter 116 implies Melissa, the girl who mercilessly bullied Kayo much as Sarina bullied Aya, [[spoiler: was eventually expelled from school after Kayo and Sakaki faked their deaths once people found out about her bullying and was reduced to working as a teen prostitute.]]
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: Early on, Yatsumura says that if she were in a manga, her [[TimeStandsStill stick]] would be god tier.
* MagicalGirl: A brutal version of this, but also surprisingly a {{Reconstruction}} by showing a real meaning in the PowerOfFriendship.
* MagicalGirlGenreDeconstruction: Troubled and depressed girls are asked to become Magical Girls. When they agree, they learn that their powers are CastFromHitPoints. ''Mahou Shoujo Site'' is a {{reconstruction}} as it also deals heavily with ThePowerOfFriendship.
* MagicWand: All magical girls have "sticks" that they use to wield their powers. They can take the form of a gun, a camera, a phone, a hammer, or a pair of panties.
** [[spoiler:The insane policeman who has captured Kaname has an entire wall of sticks, including multiple weapons, toys, clothes, and everyday objects.]]
* ManipulativeBitch: Sarina knows Nijimin wants to kill Shioi and, in a blackmail sense, gives her the information she needs. Fortunately, Yatsumura took precautions about this.
* MoodSwinger: Nijimi. One minute, she's all cute smiles, the next minute she keeps repeating how she plans to kill Shioi, and then she's all smiles again.
* NewTransferStudent: Both Nijimi and Shioi transfer to Aya's school (and class). And both did it to be closer to Aya and Yatsumura.
* NightmareFace: Just look at the pictures representing the Site Admins. Nana is easily the most terrifying - at least until you meet the rest of Site Admins.
* NominalHero: Were she not on Aya's side, Mikari would most likely be considered a {{Sadist}} arguably worse than Kaname.
** While Yatsumura is Aya's best friend, she is known to engage in prolonged graphic torture and has shown MisanthropeSupreme tendencies.
* OnlySaneMan: Sayuki Ringa out of the three other girls Kosame is allied with is the only one who doesn't appear mentally unstable or partially psychotic.
* OutGambitted: Kiyoharu and Asahi team up to get Nijimi's Stick back from Kaname. [[spoiler:After Asahi overpowers Kaname, Nijimi attacks her which gives Kaname just enough time to order Asahi to kill Kiyoharu. Kaname then explains he predicted the attack and so he gave Nijimi an order to protect him at all cost]].
* ParentalAbandonment: Yatsumura's parents are long dead, murdered by a burglar. Since then, Yatsumura lives alone in their apartment.
* PlotBasedVoiceCancellation: A truck drives by right as Kosame tells Aya that [[spoiler:Yatsumura has only a few days left to live.]]
* PowersInTheFirstEpisode: At the end of the first chapter, Aya demonstrates her teleporting ability.
* PsychicNosebleed: Because using magical powers shortens one's lifespan, this almost always happens after a magical girl uses her powers. For a short time, their eyes and hair colour changes too. Surprisingly, [[spoiler:using the mind control stick by Kaname seems to have no effect on him besides changing his hair to grey.]]
** Interestingly, the location of the bleeding seems to vary depending on which stick is used: Aya's stick makes her [[TearsOfBlood bleed from the eyes]], Yatsumura's stick causes her to [[BloodFromTheMouth bleed from the mouth]], one of Shioi's sticks causes her nose to bleed, etc.
* PlugNPlayTechnology: All of the magical girl's sticks can be plugged into a computer using a USB cable. Without the connection between the computer and the stick, the girls can't enter or even find the Mahou Shoujo Site again.
* RealityEnsues: Two on consecutive chapters. First, repeatedly using a weapon that cuts ''anything'' at a ''long range'' will mean even the fighting ground you're standing on will be shredded apart and collapse. Second, which the first supports, just because the fighting ground is in a single room doesn't there won't be casualties nearby. And that's not good when that ground is an inhabited ''multi-story condo''.
* {{Reconstruction}}: As dark and brutal as it is, it's quite like ''[[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica Madoka]]'' in that classical Mahou Shoujo themes like ThePowerOfFriendship, perseverance, and love shine through the bleak atmosphere.
** A major point is the CallToAdventure part of the MagicalGirl genre. Unlike [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica Madoka Kaname and most other girls in her series who get selected by Kyubey]], those chosen by the Magical Girl Site had lives so unfortunately low that they don’t care if their power comes with a price or the mascots have any sinister motives. They just want to escape their personal hells and at least a good number of them end up profiting from it.
* SelfHarm: Amagai Kosame's stick is a box cutter that she must use on herself, so she may use her blood to heal others. She admits that she cut herself long before the Mahou Shoujo Site came along.
* SeamlessSpontaneousLie: Kaname is a master of these.
* ShoutOut: Shioi keeps a "[[Manga/DeathNote Slaughter Note]]", which as the list of all the magical girls she intends to kill.
** When Aya asks Yatsumura whether she'll be punished for killing Erika and Kawano, Yatsumura points out that nobody would even believe her she has a magical gun that can teleport people and incidentally, she teleported both Erika and Kawano in front of an oncoming train. And that Aya should treat her gun [[Manga/DeathNote "like a notebook where she can write the names of the people who should die".]].
*** After the Site Admins [[spoiler:proceed to slaughter all existent Magical Girls]], one of them says [[Film/TheLordOfTheRingsTheFellowshipOfTheRing "You shall not pass"]] to Kiyoharu and Komane when they try to escape from a [[spoiler:multiplying horde of Admins]].
* ShutUpHannibal: When Sarina shows up at Yatsumura's home, talking about how she plans to make her and Aya suffer, Yatsumura calls her a dumb bitch and tells her that she brought all that happened on herself.
** Aya later delivers one hell of a speech on what a heinous bitch she is.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Kaname considers himself better than everyone else around him and thinks he might be God. This is a mask he wears against his abusive inferiority with his dad.
* SocialServicesDoesNotExist: Nobody seems bothered by a 14 year old girl living alone and frequently skipping classes. When Aya asks her homeroom teacher for Yatsumura address since she's worried Yatsumura didn't came to school, he just calls her a nice girl and gives her the address immediately without questioning. No one also notices that Aya's nervous behaviour comes from being abused at home and bullied at school, despite obvious evidence (such as Aya's desk and chair which are smeared with words like "Just die").
* StupidEvil: There are many cruel people out there, but a few of them can be considered stupid.
** Shioi. She may be the infamous "Magical Hunter", but Yatsumura clearly lampshades that she's too stupid to use her powers correctly.
** Sarina can also be considered this. After Erika gets killed, she blames Aya (Which is true, but not intentional) and threatens to scar her completely. Cue Yatsumura coming to save the day and turns the razor back at her in the form of attempted suicide. Her other friend Kawano has become smart enough not bother Aya anymore.
* SuicideDare: Hyouka and Tsurara's classmates, as well as Tsurara's boyfriend Akai, start telling Tsurara [[spoiler: she should go kill herself because she's supposedly a whore due to the nude photos of her posted on the school walls. Sure enough, Tsurara finally goes over the DespairEventHorizon and commits suicide by jumping off the school roof, and when her classmates see she's dead they're now all horrified.]]
* SuperSpeed: Asahi Takiguchi's stick apparently gives her this power.
* TimeMaster / TimeStandsStill: Yatsumura's stick has the ability to freeze time.
* TookALevelInKindness: Once Aya's group starts working with Kosame's, there begins to be some genuine development in their attitudes for the positive. [[spoiler: They're legitimately horrified when one of them is attacked or killed, but also in the sense of it being because they've lost a friend. Mikari's horrified when Kiyoharu is gravelly injured by the Kaname-controlled Asahi despite the nasty arguing between the two when they first appeared together, and everyone is distraught when Nijimi dies, even Shioi.]]
* UsefulNotes/WestermarckEffect: [[spoiler:Even afer figuring out they're biological sisters, Aya and Yatsumura are never deterred from loving each other and the former's ultimate motivation becomes finding her own happiness with her 'special someone', the latter. In the corrected timeline, they're still biologically related and separated, but they're very much in love.]]
* WhamEpisode: Chapters 114 and 115: [[spoiler:The King awakens and starts the Tempest ten days early]].
* WhamShot: [[spoiler:Kiichiro's wall, from which hang dozens of Sticks.]]
** [[spoiler:Mr. Asagiri's eyes flashing spade shapes, indicating he's wearing Kaname's stolen magical panties.]]
* WhatKindOfLamePowerIsHeartAnyway: There are a few magical girls who get blessed with powers that aren't really impressive. Hiroko Shimozono got a remote which causes nausea, and then there's the girl who got a syringe which can erase the last three minutes of someone's memory and a girl who get a necktie which allows her to change genders. Not exactly the most useful tools for revenge, unless you got ''really'' creative with them.
* TheWorfEffect: The minute we learn there are a large number of magical girls working together against the Site Admins [[spoiler:half of them are killed by the Admins before we even learn their names or abilities.]]
* YourPrincessIsInAnotherCastle: [[spoiler:The magical girls unite and resolve to use the ten days left until the Tempest to stop it, only for the King to awaken to her full power prematurely and start the Tempest '''immediately.''']]

* BackForTheFinale:
* BrutalHonesty: Yatsumura.
* ExtremeDoormat: Aya.
* GoodParents:
* {{Hypocrite}}:
* LaserGuidedKarma:
