* The plot of the ''TabletopGame/MutantsAndMasterminds'' HalloweenEpisode adventure ''Monster Mash'' is that Randall Fox, a has-been ghosthunter, has arranged a Halloween event in TabletopGame/FreedomCity riffing on old horror movies, with the deliberate intent of riling up Silver Scream (the ghost of a 50s scream queen, who appears to seek vengence on those who disparage her life or career) so he can publically trap her. What he ''didn't'' count on was that one of the other films starred Emerald City's Madame Macabre (Elvira as magically-empowered villainess), who disrupts his binding ritual to get her own revenge on the event. While Macabre is initially annoyed that there's something else going on that spoils her big entrance, the default assumption is that the two former actresses will decide that their goals coincide and work together. However, it's possible for the heroes to convince one or both that the other is "upstaging" her, and needs to be taken care of ''before'' Randall is punished for his disrespect.

** In the movie ''Fusion Reborn'' the villains escaped from Hell as a result of Janemba’s reality warping. However, nearly all of them were reduced to cameos and the only one of them who got any real screentime was Frieza, who would end up being quickly killed by Gohan.
* In the episode of ''Manga/InuYasha'' entitled 'Naraku and Sesshomaru Join Forces'...Take a wild guess.
* In the ''Anime/MazingerZ'' versus ''Manga/{{Devilman}}'' feature, Dr. Hell and the demons collaborate to take down Kouji Kabuto and Devilman. It may be subverted, since Hell used a mind-control device to enslave the demons, and he was mainly interested on taking down Mazinger Z (he only sent some demons and Mechanical Beasts against Devilman because the demons warned him he would interfere).

They got along very well, despite that one of them was [[FantasticRacism NEXT-hater]] and the other was secretly a NEXT himself [[spoiler: until they were at the verge of DisneyVillainDeath, with Rotwang begging Maverick to save him, only for him to reveal he is a NEXT and kick him in the face]].
* In ''Manga/OnePiece'', "pirate alliances" are commonplace, and while they don't always involve villains (for example, [[TheHero Luffy]]'s Straw Hat Pirates form an alliance with [[AntiHero Trafalgar Law]]'s Heart Pirates), evil pirates do in fact outnumber good ones and such alliances are usually villain team-ups. * ''Film/BatmanForever'' has Riddler and Two Face team up, while ''Film/BatmanAndRobin'' has Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy team up (whether Bane is a villain or a henchman, you pick). In the latter's case Ivy is manipulating Freeze, which doesn't work out for well for her when he finds out. ''Film/BatmanReturns'' deconstructs this trope, showing Catwoman and the Penguin working together for all of five minutes before breaking it off.
* ''Film/BatmanBegins'' has the Scarecrow initially working with Falcone, and unwittingly working ''for'' Ra's Al Ghul. ''Film/TheDarkKnight'' is borderline, as the Joker creates the second villain but never truly works with him; however, the Joker does initially work with the mob. ** ''[[Film/DoctorStrange2016 Doctor Strange]]'' featured the sorcerer Kaecilius and his zealots attempting to contact the cosmic being Dormammu in order for him to bring about the engulfment of earth into the Dark Dimension.
** ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol2'' had Nebula team up with a group of rogue Ravagers to overthrow Yondu, and said Ravagers also have dealings with Ayesha of the Sovereigns to help her get revenge on the Guardians. None of them however team up with the film's main villain [[spoiler:Ego the Living Planet]], and [[spoiler:Nebula]] teams up with the Guardians to help take [[spoiler:him]] down.
** ''Film/SpiderManHomecoming'' featured the Vulture employing the Tinkerer, Darter, Montana, and the Shocker, and selling weapons to the Scorpion. The Prowler attempts to buy weapons for him as well, [[spoiler:but later expresses his discomfort with the Vulture's weapons and helps Spider-Man find him]]. It's also implied that the Prowler at one point had dealings with the Scorpion before the events of the film.
** ''Film/ThorRagnarok'' had Hela team up with Skurge to take over Asgard, while on the planet Sakaar, Scrapper 142 [[spoiler:(who is later revealed to be Valkyrie)]] collects prisoners for the Grandmaster. Both underlings end up [[spoiler:rebelling and joining the heroes]]. Loki naturally switches sides a few times before ending the movie on [[spoiler:Thor's]] side. The movie also features an interesting variation on this trope: [[spoiler:to stop Hela, Loki unleashes Surtur to bring about Ragnarok on Asgard and destroy her, in a strange instance of one antagonist teaming up with another to intentionally help the heroes]].

* ''Literature/BrokenRing'': Kyrian and Wyre. The first is a DarkMessiah, the second an AxCrazy [[TheVamp vamp]], who meet and become a couple.
* In Taylor Anderson's ''Literature/{{Destroyermen}}'', this is a fear of the [[TheAlliance Grand Alliance]] should their two enemies (the [[UsefulNotes/ImperialJapan Japanese]]-aided [[LizardFolk Grik]] and the [[ReligionOfEvil Holy]] [[TheEmpire Dominion]]) find out about each other. While they admit that the thoroughly racist Doms wouldn't even consider allying with such vile creatures as the Grik, they wouldn't put it past Hisashi Kurokawa or the Celestial Mother to offer the Dominion a chance to join the Hunt. By the end of ''Storm Surge'', both of the enemies are aware of one another. The Doms intend to send an expedition across the Atlantic to see if the Grik can somehow be subverted to serve their "holy" purpose. Of course, the "Grand Alliance of all Allied powers united beneath (or beside) the Banner of the Trees" is the heroic version of this. Originally made up of the crew of the USS ''Walker'' and several Lemurian Homes, it now includes most of the known Lemurians, several more crossed-over crews, the Empire of New Britain Isles, and the Republic of Real People. Additionally, another potential new ally is found, the [[spoiler:United States]].
* In Lies, the third book of the ''Literature/{{Gone}}'' series, [[spoiler: Caine and Zil team up to burn down Perdido Beach, which acts as a distraction to let Caine escape to the island.]]

Politically, everything is highly uncertain, following the formation of the Pact in ''Literature/ASingularDestiny''. While the Pact members were historically antagonistic, their outlook is changing, at least in some cases.
* The failure half of this occurs in the Franchise/StarWarsExpandedUniverse novel ''[[Literature/DarthBane Darth Bane: Path of Destruction]]'' due to nature of the Sith's ChronicBackstabbingDisorder. Bane creates his rule of two to avoid this problem.
* The fourth ''Literature/SkulduggeryPleasant'' book see's the 'Revenger's Club' created, a group of various nefarious figures from the previous books who have tentatively teamed up under the BigBad who's promised them each their personal vengeance on the protagonists. * The ''Omen Of The Stars'' [[MythArc arc]] of ''Literature/WarriorCats'' features [[spoiler: all the villains who were killed off except Scourge and Bone teaming up to destroy the clans.]]
* In ''The Warlord of Mars'', third book of the ''Literature/JohnCarterOfMars'' series, Matai Shang (a previously-offscreen but often mentioned [[TheChessmaster chessmaster]]), Thurid (a minor villain from the previous book) and Salensus Oll (a newly-introduced EvilOverlord) pull off one of these, [[spoiler:which ends up falling apart messily, since all three hate each others' guts and have only temporarily-related goals]]. ** ''Literature/TheSilmarillion'': [[DarkLord Morgoth]] convinces [[SpidersAreScary Ungoliant]] (the GiantSpider of unknown origin) to team-up for the destruction of the Two Trees that gave light to Arda, in exchange for giving her anyything she wanted in return. Ungoliant succeed, drinking the light out of the Trees and killing them, submerging the entire Arda in darkness. Later, Ungoliant request all of Morgoth’s treasures including the Simlarils and he refuses, causing the battle between the two.
** ''Literature/TheLordOfTheRings'': [[TheDragon Saruman]] manage to bring the Southern Men and the Pirates into an alliance serving Sauron. Notice that unlike the Orcs and Trolls, the Southern Men and Pirates are by no mean bound to Sauron's magic and influence and were already a treat on their own.

* As expected, this happens in ''Series/TheFlash2014''. First, there are the Rogues (Leonard "Captain Cold" Snart, Mick "Heat Wave" Rory, and Lisa "Golden Glider" Snart). Then there are the two Tricksters. And later we have Mark "Weather Wizard" Mardon breaking the older Trickster and Cold out of jail in an attempt to team up against the Flash. Cold ends up walking away and even warning Barry, as Barry has saved his sister a few episodes earlier (plus, it's Christmas). The Trickster and Mardon, however, do nearly succeed in killing Barry ([[spoiler:the Trickster gives out a hundred remote-controlled bombs as gifts to little kids, and Mardon forces Barry to stand there and let himself be killed in exchange for not blowing up the bombs]]). There are also the Reverse-Flash and Gorilla Grodd, although, in a weird way, it's more of a father-son relationship.

** In ''Series/PowerRangersDinoThunder'', when [[Series/PowerRangersNinjaStorm Lothor]] returned, he briefly teamed up with Mesogog. After the Rangers foiled their plan, Mesogog ended the alliance and the two villains [[EvilVersusEvil fought each other]]. Mesogog won.
** In ''Series/PowerRangersSPD'', when Emperor Grumm went back in time, he teamed up with [[Series/PowerRangersDinoThunder Zeltrax]].
** With four villain factions in ''Series/PowerRangersOperationOverdrive'', it was unavoidable there'd be some occasional team ups but the most memorable was when Thrax, the son of [[Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd]], temporarily united all of them against the Power Rangers. The villains made it quite clear they'd only be united against the Rangers and, after the heroes were permanently dealt with, the factions would war among themselves again. Well, it was said at the top of the page the villains usually only team up to destroy the heroes. That alliance ended when Thrax was destroyed.
** This happens pretty much anytime there is a Power Rangers team-up.
* ''Series/{{Revolution}}'': Monroe and Randall Flynn ally in the second half of the season, starting at the end of [[Recap/RevolutionS1E11TheStand episode 11]].

The most prominent in the series is the Red Panda Revenge Squad, consisting of the Crimson Death, the Electric Eel, the Genie, Mordriel the Malevolent, and Professor Zombie. An AlternateTimeline version of this team up successfully killed the Flying Squirrel and information on ''how'' is used to sway the main timeline's Red Panda into helping a traveler from that world. When the group eventually forms in the main timeline, they very nearly succeed in defeating the Red Panda despite the mystery man having had years to work out how to beat them. The episode also brings up some of the issues that plague such team-ups, such as {{Insufferable Genius}}es and {{Large Ham}}s causing clashing egos, past team ups ending on a sour note restricting who to have join.

* And sometimes, evil managers team up, such as Wrestling/JimCornette and Wrestling/MrFuji.
* Wrestling/TheFourHorsemen can be considered the TropeCodifier for professional wrestling. This particular group, known in wrestling as a "stable" or "faction," first formed with Wrestling/RicFlair, Ole Anderson, Wrestling/ArnAnderson and Tully Blanchard. Various incarnations lasted for 13 years; however, they have direct descendants running up to today's current wrestlers.
* The very unlikely pairing of [[Wrestling/JohnNord The Berserker]] and Papa Shango against the equally unlikely pairing of Wrestling/UltimateWarrior and Wrestling/TheUndertaker.
* Rival heel stables Wrestling/TheCorporation and The Wrestling/MinistryOfDarkness put aside their differences and teamed up to take on their mutual enemies. Wrestling/VinceMcMahon was the [[BigBad Higher Power]] controlling both groups the entire time as part of his EvilPlan to get the title off of [[Wrestling/StoneColdSteveAustin "Stone Cold" Steve Austin]] though, so at the very least Vince, [[Wrestling/ShaneMcMahon Shane]], and Wrestling/TheUndertaker were in cahoots the entire time. The members of the Corporate Ministry still didn't get along very well though, especially Undertaker and Wrestling/TripleH, and the group disbanded right after the Austin vs Vince feud ended.
* The Four Horsemen and the Wrestling/DungeonOfDoom created the Alliance to End Hulkamania to finally get rid of [[InvincibleHero Boring Invincible Hero]] Wrestling/HulkHogan. It failed miserably.
* Wrestling/TheUndertaker and Wrestling/{{Kane}} would alternate between heels and faces during their time as a tag team: the Brothers of Destruction.
* La Nazi joined up with Los Boricuas (Comandante Pierroth and Rico Suave's group in Wrestling/{{CMLL}}, not Savio Vegas in WWF or Puerto Rican IWA) out of shared contempt for Mexicans.
* Wrestling/MollyHolly tried this with her rival [[Wrestling/LisaMarieVaron Victoria]], after Victoria made it to WWE's active roster to get rid of their mutual enemy, Trish Stratus. It didn't workout but she then forced one with Wrestling/GailKim by threatening to beat Gail up until she did what she said (and what Molly said, was, of course, get rid of Trish Stratus). Victoria would also intimidate Wrestling/{{Melina}} into joining her against Mickie James, but then turn on Melina for Wrestling/NatalyaNeidhart.
* Wrestling/LayCool teamed up with Wrestling/BethPhoenix to rid WWE of Wrestling/MickieJames. However, Laycool then turned on Phoenix when recruited by Wrestling/VickieGuerrero, who happened to be dating Wrestling/DolphZiggler, creating a pseudo stable on Smackdown with Ziggler as TheOneGuy. The group even went on to have a match at Wrestlemania against the equally hodgepodge paring of Wrestling/TrishStratus, Wrestling/JohnMorrison and someone for Jersey Shore. [[SubvertedTrope They rejected]] Wrestling/AliciaFox though, when she tried to join them in their efforts against Melina.
* [[Wrestling/{{Fandango}} Johnny Curtis]] and Maxine on WWE NXT to kidnap Matt Striker.
* Wrestling/TheMiz and [[Wrestling/RonKillings R-Truth]], two heels in separate stories at the time, somehow found common ground and teamed up in September 2011. They were disqualified from a tag team title match at WWE Night of Champions when Miz attacked a referee. The next night on Raw, then-[[CorruptCorporateExecutive WWE COO]] Wrestling/TripleH, sick of their antics, "fired" them. In a reverse [[NiceJobBreakingItHero Nice Job BreakingItVillain]], this set off a chain of events where most of the WWE roster turned against Triple H, leading to Triple H's ouster as the on-screen authority figure. Miz and Truth returned to WWE TV in mid-October 2011.
* Wrestling/BobbyRoode frequently in Wrestling/{{TNA}}. He teamed up with Wrestling/AustinAries to get rid of Wrestling/JeffHardy. Well, really to win every single TNA Title belt but really, get rid of Hardy. Then he teamed with [[Wrestling/FrankieKazarian Bad]] [[Wrestling/ChristopherDaniels Influence]] to protest Wrestling/KurtAngle being inducted into the TNA Hall Of Fame. Then he teamed hired Wrestling/AcesAndEights to get rid of Jeff Hardy, again.
* On Monday Night Raw [[Wrestling/ClaudioCastagnoli Antonio Cesaro]], an American hating Swiss, teamed up with "The Real Americans", the immigrant hating Wrestling/JackSwagger and Zeb Colter. Anybody see an issue there?
* The Femme Fatales division of Canadian Northern Championship Wrestling had an evil International Champion in Wrestling/MercedesMartinez and USA based Wrestling/{{SHIMMER}} had an evil champion in Wrestling/CheerleaderMelissa. Teaming the two up must have seemed natural.
* Shigeo Okumura is normally against all things Mexican but with Mima Shimoda acting as his manager at the 2015 ''[[Wrestling/{{CMLL}} Fantastica]] [[Wrestling/NewJapanProWrestling Mania]]'', he looked past that to team up with Mr. Niebla, Pólvora and Bárbaro Cavernario to avenge his draw against Ángel de Oro. It only took him four days to swear off his new Mexican allies, though Shimoda remained by his side.

** ''Fantasmic!'' contains one between [[WesternAnimation/SnowWhiteAndTheSevenDwarfs Queen Grimhilde]], [[WesternAnimation/TheLittleMermaid1989 Ursula]], [[WesternAnimation/{{Fantasia}} Chernabog]], and [[WesternAnimation/SleepingBeauty Maleficent]] in its original California version. For the Florida version, [[WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}} Jafar]], [[WesternAnimation/TheHunchbackOfNotreDame Frollo]], [[WesternAnimation/{{Hercules}} Hades]], [[WesternAnimation/OneHundredAndOneDalmatians Cruella DeVil]], and [[WesternAnimation/TheLionKing1994 Scar]] join in as well.
** From 2002 to 2005, Walt Disney World ran a daily stage show in which WesternAnimation/{{Cinderella}} hosts a party at her castle and it gets crashed and taken over by [[WesternAnimation/SnowWhiteAndTheSevenDwarfs Queen Grimhilde]], [[WesternAnimation/PeterPan Captain Hook]], [[WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}} Jafar]], and [[WesternAnimation/{{Mulan}} Shan-Yu]].

Specifically they all chipped in to pay the cost of the army, the mysterious Arkham Knight led it, [[spoiler:Deathstroke]] was the secondary commander, [[spoiler:Simon Stagg]] helped develop the Cloudburst, and the Penguin supplied weapons. Otherwise, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, Penguin, Riddler, and Firefly all made a point to to cause as much chaos as possible in the hope of spreading Batman too thin. The Riddler however is ''quite'' insistent that he isn't working with them. He just so happened to pick the same night. [[BlatantLies It's a total coincidence]]. [[spoiler:Man-Bat, Professor Pyg, Hush, and Deacon Blackfire]] on the other hand didn't seem to be involved, and their operating on the same night may have actually been a coincidence.
** Supervillians outside of the normal Batman continuity also contributed. It's hinted that a lot of the financing of the $3 billion army came from ComicBook/LexLuthor. Luthor himself also leaves Bruce Wayne a voicemail all but demanding he sell the Waynetech applied science division to him for $1 billion.
* There are varying degrees of cooperation between the villains in ''Videogame/BatmanArkhamAsylum'' and ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamCity'', but the amount they can said to be working together is debatable:
** In ''Asylum'': While The Riddler is implied to be giving technical support to the Joker and Quinn, Sacrecrow and Zasz seem to have simply been released to make things difficult for Batman and aren't really working with he Joker. [[spoiler: Bane]] is an unwilling accomplice to Joker and [[spoiler:Croc tries to ''eat'' Scarecrow]] so they aren't working together. Joker also refuses to release Poison Ivy, and once Harley does anyway, both swear to kill each other after Batman has been dealt with.
** In ''City'', things get even more complex: Strange turns out to be working for [[spoiler:Ra's]], the Mad Hatter was manipulated into helping them control the TYGER guards and [[spoiler:Sharp]] ([[YouHaveOutLivedYourUsefulness and he was thrown into Arkham City once that was done]]), and they hire Deadshot to kill people with important information. The Joker is forcing Mister Freeze to work for him (who turns on him the moment he can), and has [[spoiler:Clayface]] as a willing accomplice. The Penguin has [[spoiler:Solomon Grundy]] as a secret weapon, but given that its [[spoiler:Grundy]] the cooperation is probably minimal.
* Being a CrisisCrossover title, ''Videogame/DissidiaFinalFantasy'' features one of these involving every main villain from the first ten games of the main series (plus [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyXII Gabranth]]), in direct opposition to the heroes from their respective games (plus [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyXI Shantotto]]). However, the Warriors of Chaos are not as united as those of Cosmos; some of them seek to overthrow Chaos, others want to destroy everything, and the rest either don't care about the conflict or have agendas of their own. [[spoiler:Golbez, in particular, is [[TheMole actively working against them from the inside]] to help the Cosmos Warriors.]]
