* ''Series/{{Hunter}}'': The original series ran from 1984 to 1991, plus a couple of MadeForTV movies in the 1990s. There was also a very shortlived revival in 2003 starring an older Hunter and [=McCall=] that was CutShort after only five episodes.

* WesternAnimation/StrawberryShortcake had two: one in 2003, and another in 2009.

* In 2015, ''Series/MysteryScienceTheater3000'' creator Joel Hodgson launched a Website/{{Kickstarter}} project to fund a new version of the series (with an entirely new cast) more than 15 years after the end of its original run. The project raised over $5.7 million ([[http://www.avclub.com/article/mst3k-breaks-kickstarter-records-secures-14-new-ep-229707 setting a new record for the largest amount ever raised for a video project via crowdfunding]]), and the revived series was released in April 2017, released on Netflix.

* ''WesternAnimation/XMenTheAnimatedSeries'' was announced to return as a Creator/DisneyPlus show called ''X-Men '97'', and will pick up where the first show left off.

* ''WesternAnimation/GIJoeRenegades'' is a new take on the franchise, where the team consists of a RagtagBunchOfMisfits [[MeaningfulName seen by society as renegades, but by themselves as average joes]] just doing the right thing.

* ''VideoGame/SlyCooperThievesInTime'' was a failed attempted of reviving of the ''VideoGame/SlyCooper'' games. While the game was initially a success among fans and critics, Creator/SanzaruGames swiftly pulled the plug on continuing the series despite the game's massive cliffhanger. Fans [[FanonDiscontinuity disowned it]], critics gave negative re-reviews, and Sanzaru became a pariah among the video game community, now seen primary as developers of {{Franchise Killer}}s.

** ''Super'' is an interesting case because the series still lived on before that via many, ''many'' video games, as well as the various dubs in the Western market on TV and released on home media. There was a gradual lead-up to ''Super'' over eight years: first was the animated one-shot ''Anime/DragonBallYoSonGokuAndHisFriendsReturn'' in 2005, then the ''Anime/DragonBallKai'' refresh of ''[[Anime/DragonBallZ Z]]'' in 2009, and then the big one: ''Anime/DragonBallZBattleOfGods'' in 2013. This proved popular enough to warrant more consistent creation of anime content, including ''Super'' and several more movies.

** The 1959 series ''Series/OneStepBeyond'' came back in 1978 as ''Series/TheNextStepBeyond''.

* ''Series/{{Degrassi}}'' (formerly titled ''Degrassi: The Next Generation''), which ran from 2001 to 2017, is a revival of TheEighties series ''Series/DegrassiHigh'' (which was, in contrast, an immediate {{Sequel}} to ''Series/DegrassiJuniorHigh''), set in the present day while including a few recurring characters from ''Series/DegrassiHigh'' as adults.

* The Calgary Territory goes back to at least 1930, although it is best known for it's 1948 revival as Stampede by [[WrestlingFamily the Hart family]]. The Stampede promotion fizzled out in 1989, four years after Wrestling/{{Vince|McMahon}} cleaned it out, but was revived again in 1999.

* JWP Project closed it's doors in 2000 after a string of retirements and deaths, one of which being the [[CasualtyInTheRing in ring case]] of Plum Mariko. It was quickly revived as JWP Joshi Puroresu before the year was up by Command Bolshoi however and ended up reviving Zenjo's [[TournamentArc Tag League The Best]] when it folded in 2005.

* Creator/IDWPublishing established its own line of ''Saturday Morning Adventures'' label miniseries that revive iconic cartoons for long-standing franchises, including ''[[WesternAnimation/GIJoeARealAmericanHero G.I. Joe]]'', ''WesternAnimation/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles1987'', and ''WesternAnimation/DungeonsAndDragons1983''.
