* VideoGame/FaithTheUnholyTrinity: While the first two chapters did have bad endings, the bad ending of the third chapter really rubs your face in how badly and thoroughly John Ward failed. If you don't even attempt to stop the cultists (Justified in-story as John's complete loss of faith), you wake up during the Profane Sabbath when everything has literally gone to hell. It gets much worse once John ends up in the ruins of the Martin House, where everything started (And went wrong) for John. You move through the decrepit house while John narrates how much of a failure he is, and how everything is his fault while incredibly somber music plays. At the end, instead of displaying "MORTIS" like it does for most deaths, the game ends with "DAMNATIO MEMORIAE."

* If decide to not continue the game or you run out of credits in VideoGame/GingaFukeiDensetsuSapphire, you will be sent to the game over screen that depicts a Tokyo completely destroyed along with a sad heavy metal song. Yes, Tokyo's fate is in your hands and if you fail and give up, you'll see the consequences of your decision.

Removed the spoiler from Starcraft 2 entry: either all of it should be spoilered, or none of it - the framing of that mission isn't more of a secret than what happens during it, it's not like a case of "and then you woke up".

* VideoGame/StarcraftIIWingsOfLiberty: When the Protoss base is destroyed in the mission "In Utter Darkness", the closing cutscene shows the star system being outright consumed by the Dark Voice. [[spoiler:This is the victory ending -- your defeat is guaranteed in this mission, the only question is how long can the LastStand of the Protoss race last, with some bonus points for managing to survive until the Archive is sealed. It's a vision of the future that you have to prevent.]]
