The sorcerous Emerald/Sapphire/Adamant Countermagic series, listed in order charms which characters possess and learn outside of increasing strength. They even have necromantic counterparts, called (again, in order sorcery/necromancy, such as a Solar's Monkey Leap Technique or Heaven Thunder Hammer, cannot be counterspelled outside of increasing strength) Iron/Onyx/Obsidian Countermagic.
