Every Hundred Years, the Dark Way becomes a river and Charon collects his soul tribute over the designed dynasty.

A series of young adult novels by Jessica Galera, occurring in a modern fantasy world. It's a mix of traditional fantasy intrigue with a modern day setting, and the main saga of Galera.

The land is divided between the world of light, Luzaria with its humans, elves, fairies, and tides, and the world of shadows, Noctia, with vampires, werewolves, sorcerers, witches, and necromancers, this division is made clear by the Wall of Charon, which opens every night at midnight to let the dwellers of Noctia loose to sate their appetites upon the unaware, or not so unaware, luzaran inhabitants.

In an agreement to try and reach mutual understanding, there's an exchange program called the Commute, where a Luzaran and a Noctian youngling exchange places in their respective worlds.

June goes to Noctia, and the sorcerer Tayr goes to Luzaria, next year seems to be interesting, but... Who really is Tayr?
