The Middlemist Trilogy is a fantasy romance series by Claire Legrand.
The Ashbornes are family of humans that were granted magical powers by the gods. The latest generation are a trio of sisters: Farrin, the eldest, Mara, the middle child, and Gemma, the youngest. Each one is tasked with protecting the Middlemist, a barrier that protects their home from the realm of the old gods.
Each book
will have its own story arc focused on one of the sisters while progressing the Myth Arc.

The series contains examples of:
- Delicate and Sickly: Gemma's body constantly fights off the magic contained within her, leaving her ill much of the time.
- Last of His Kind: Talan d'Astier is the last of the d'Astier family. The rest were destroyed after a pact demon.
- Love Interest: Each sister has a love interest. Gemma has Talan d'Astier.
