Sky the Blue Fairy is the fifth book in the Rainbow Magic series. It was released on May 29th, 2003.
While on the beach, Rachel and Kirsty find Sky trapped in a bubble. When the goblins come by and freeze the pool over, Sky becomes very ill, and the girls must save her.
Tropes:
- An Ice Person: Freezing Fern in the tower was just an appetizer; here, the goblins freeze over a small pool, including the bubble Sky is inside, which nearly kills her.
- Catch Your Death of Cold: Sky's weakness comes from her being frozen in a bubble.
- Color Failure: A serious variant: Sky becomes so ill, her colour fades away.
- Delicate and Sickly: Sky herself, who becomes very weak after being frozen in a bubble.
