Horizonte Rojo (Red Horizon) is a spanish series of novelettes authored by Rocío Vega.
Following the early career of Kerr, boss of the titular mercenary squad; Horizonte Rojo ducks and weaves between fast and splattering action, interplanetary shady dealings and steamy sex scenes.
Sexuality, prejudice and human defects are explored without dwelling on them, in a decidedly adult tone with an overarching queer streak.
So far, the series doesn't seem averse to throw itself in the mud and just get up and run away grinning.
