Go To

Everything is a story interwoven by people's hearts. Therefore it is imperfect, fleeting, precious, and thus beautiful. No matter what kind of end this road might lead to... we swore to lose everything but our hearts.

Event Horizon Battlefront Aditya (事象地平戦線アーディティヤ, Jishōchihei Sensen Aditiya) is a novel currently being written by Takashi Masada and with art by G Yuusuke. It marks the fifth main entry in the Shinza Bansho Series and the first in the timeline of events.

Taking place during the Age of Zero, the time before the Divine Throne was created, it follows the exploits of Mitra and her crew around the universe.

Originally meant to have been a chapter in Dies Irae Pantheon, following its cancellation, Masada rebooted the project as a web-novel, with plans of making it a Light Novel published in various volumes, thanks to the funding of dedicated fans.

The series entered a hiatus in the summer of 2022 due to series artist G Yuusuke becoming overworked with all the projects in the franchise being worked on. It is expected to resume once the light novel and visual novel editions of Avesta of Black and White are completed. It eventually resumed publication in January 2023.

Tropes associated with Event Horizon Battlefront Aditya:

  • Body Horror: Due to the curse of inmortality imposed in every living being on the universe, even the loss of limbs doesn't prevent people from still being able to feel sensations in them. Best exemplified in Arya, a woman that sold her legs and can still sense all the things the buyer does to them.
  • Cyborg: As per the setting, they exist, but since people can still feel through their missing body parts as part of being an amrita, and mechanical parts just add to that, not many people take the chance. Notable examples are Arya and Abhicharika.
  • Evil Overlord: Daksa, the ruler and founder of Brahmana, IS all but stated to be this. Having lived for 300 years, he is referred by the story as the darkness of the Federación and a human Monster, with his desire for true immortality having turned him into a megalomaniac capable of ruining a whole planet just because an enemy of his was born there.
  • Fantasy Metals: The Kalachakra, a new type of mineral that Mitra and others use to fuel their weapons. Due to its special characteristics, its compared to being able to generate electricity comparable to that produced in nuclear plants and with the added bonus of being able to be carried around. The only thing that prevents it for being widespread is that there's not many celestial bodies from where it can be mined.
  • Foregone Conclusion: The end of Aditya is already established. Mitra will become the first Hegemony God, starting the process of a new person taking the mantle and changing the fundamental Law that governs the universe.
  • Humanity Is Superior: The story takes place in a universe where humanity has exterminated all the other races that had ever existed. Discussed, as one character notes, mankind being able to defeat all those races, despite some of them were much more advanced or physically superior, just doesn't make sense, but it happened anyway thanks to, as said character theorizes, our heart. Implying that mankind having the potential for godhood isn't product of the Throne System.
  • Immortality Hurts: As mentioned earlier, since people are immortal, that means that they suffer from old age and injuries, and the loss of limbs doesn't prevent them from feeling everything that happens to them. The most extreme case are the Yuga(Broken Ones), those that had their entire body destroyed but still live as some kind of invisible ghosts that other people can still sense they exist.
  • Silicon-Based Life: Vasuki, a special intelligent lifeform encountered by humanity in the latter stages of the Era of the Kalpa of Existence. They are described as giant snakes and the greatest foes mankind has ever faced, thanks in no little part to their creation of Kalakuta, a deadly poison that's anathema for all carbon-based life.
  • Religion of Evil: The Sanmanasya Temple a religious cult which was founded approximately 80 years before the story's start, and which was destroyed 15 years ago. Being an organization that transformed the ideology of antinatalism present in the Era of the Kalpa of Existence into something belonging to the far right, attempts at conception became thus their greatest taboo. Their modus operandi was to slaughter any couple with children they could find, alongside half of the infants they got their hands at, taking the others half to be indoctrinated into the cults ideals.
