Laconic / Ad Hominem

To the man. Refuting an argument by attacking some aspect of its presentation or presenter and not its content.

Direct Ad Hominem: "Then again, that's you talking, so I can safely ignore what you say."

Circumstantial Ad Hominem: "This is less severe for you if a factor at all, so shut up!" or "I figured you'd put your own interests ahead of truth."

Poisoning the Well: "Don't believe the Card-Carrying Villain Flat Character who is about to speak!"

Tu Quoque: "And why should anyone heed a hypocrite/sellout like you?"

Style over Substance: "Your delivery refutes the message."
