Heartwarming / Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs

Go To

In General

  • Kogarashi and his relationship with the Yuragi Inn members. Before he met all of them, he was a lonely orphan boy who was constantly abandoned and haunted by ghosts ever since he was a kid. Before he never had families, friends, or even a place to live. While his relationship with the Yuragi Inn started out a bit rocky due to being the only male in the inn (Sagiri), petting too hard (Yaya) and seeing them naked during bath time by accident multiple times, over the course of the series, their relationship soon turns into a True Companions kind of friendship where they respect and love Kogarashi. After so many years, Kogarashi has finally found himself a place to call home.
  • Despite giving up the chance for free rent forever, Kogarashi was willing to give it up to save Yuuna and clearing her regret in a peaceful route rather than punching her and saving her from the monk.
  • In Chapter 25, after getting to know the real Kogarashi over the course of the series, Chisaki wants to prove to everyone in her class that Kogarashi is a real psychic and wants to return the kind gesture he did for her. This shows a lot of development between the two ever since the duo first met. Extra points for Yuuna and Sagiri willingly helping out as well.
    • Instead of punching out the angry spirit that was awakened by accident by the two students, Kogarashi apologizes to the angry spirit for awakening it and beg it to go back to sleep. The angry spirit understands and returns, while also gaining respect from the two students
  • In Chapter 26, despite the fact he wants a normal school life and that he will look like a crazy lonely person by performing the following action, Kogarashi takes Yuuna's hand and dances with her during the Bon Fire, something she wants to do. Extra points for not caring what the others said and only care if Yuuna was happy.
    • Instead of ruining his reputation like the lifting skirt incident from chapter 4, the male students respect Kogarashi for seemingly dancing alone since a lot of them were too afraid to dance by themselves.
  • In Chapter 37, Kogarashi and a half-naked Oboro end up in the girls' changing room and trapped inside a locker while the girls get changed. When the two get out, many readers would expect that the girls' (Yuuna, Chisaki, Sagiri, Seri, and Urara) would freak out and beat up Kogarashi. However, they believe Kogarashi wasn't at fault without him explaining it and know immediately that it was Oboro's doing.
    • Extra heartwarming since it's Sagiri who believes Kogarashi first. Before Chapter 3, she would have not believed Kogarashi and immediately blamed him.
  • In Chapter 40, the sheer effort Kogarashi put into making extra money to buy Yuuna's birthday gift to the point of making himself sick.
    • Yuuna putting a lot of her time to treat the sick Kogarashi and being more worried over his illness than him seeing her bare breast again after wandering to his bed.
  • In Chapter 49, after the three girls (Yuuna, Hibari, and Chisaki) confess they are in love with Kogarashi, they are in silence and not sure what to do with the information. Until Yuuna reveals that she's happy to be considered as a love rival despite being a ghost and Hibari vows that despite them being love rivals, she still values her friendship with them and wishes to remain that way even if one of them ends up with Kogarashi. This brings Chisaki to Tears of Joy.
    • Sagiri doing everything she can to stop Kogarashi from overhearing the girls' confession over their love for him, for which later on she's rewarded with a dessert.
  • In Chapter 57, the Yuragi Inn members come up with a variety of ideas on how to celebrate Kogarashi's birthday; having a mixed bath (with swimsuits) so he will not feel lonely while bathing. This, of course, makes Kogarashi very joyful that the girls would put that much effort into making him happy.
    • After saving him from a forced marriage to Karuna, the Inn girls do the bath party again to make up for Kogarashi's ruined surprise.
  • In Chapter 73, Kogarashi, in order to repay everyone's kind Valentine Chocolate gifts, goes above and beyond to present them the perfect gifts. He gives each of them the kind of things they would enjoy and want. Not just making chocolates, but cookies, a book, a pudding, a scarf, and many more.
    • While everyone has lewd imaginings when trying out the gifts Kogarashi gave them, Yuuna had a purely innocent one where she imagines Kogarashi gently hugging her (even though they're both naked.)
  • In Chapter 92, after overdoing her efforts to be closer to Kogarashi, Yuuna passes out from heat stroke due to overstaying in a bath with him. After she wakes up, Kogarashi treats her, reveals that he knows what she was doing and tells her that he is fine with Yuuna welcoming him home every day after work which greatly releases all the stress he has.
  • In Chapter 100, Yuuna tries to stay up to wait for Kogarashi to return from his job as usual. After believing he’s gonna be late due to helping Sagiri and Hibari with their mission, she is gonna turn in until Kogarashi returns home all sweaty. Kogarashi reveals he ran as fast as he could to make sure Yuuna didn’t wait up for him and he was excited for her cooking, bringing a great smile to her face.
  • In Chapter 102, while it's heartbreaking for Hibari, it's still gentlemanly like of Kogarashi to turn her down gently instead of delaying his answer.
  • In Chapter 103, after realizing that she can’t forget Kogarashi and her feelings for him, Hibari asks Kogarashi if it is okay if she can continue to love him even though he doesn’t, which he agrees to if this makes her happy, allowing her to resolve her will to gain Kogarashi's love once more.
  • In Chapter 132, after dealing with an evil perverted spirit, Chisaki reveals that the greatest, kindest ghost she ever met is Yuuna, which made the latter smile as the two held hands.
  • In Chapter 136, Kogarashi reveals that the reason why he didn't help Sagiri with her arranged marriage is because he believed that Sagiri is a strong enough woman to handle her scumbag of a fiancé.
    • After a long period of denial Sagiri finally come to terms with the fact that she is in love with Kogarashi and this allows her to gain a new stronger spiritual armor.
    • After getting a warning beacon from Urara, the Yuragi Inn members (Kogarashi, Yuuna, Nonko, and Oboro,) quickly rush in to help Sagiri. What's more is that they were on standby, awaiting the moment Sagiri was in trouble.
    • Shigure and Sagiri quickly defending Hibari when the fiancé's father tries to harm to her. Family comes before duty indeed.
  • While it does turn out for the worse, in Chapter 141, the fact that the girls are perfectly okay with Kogarashi bathing with them for the Christmas party. And this time without swimsuits (still with towels, of course.) This greatly shows how much they are not bothered about Kogarashi being present and gladly welcome him to celebrate with everyone.
