Heartwarming / Why Him?

• Justine (the voice activated PA in Laird's home voiced by Kaley Cuoco) mostly serves as comic relief, but she does get a very heartwarming moment when tells Ned that she'll miss him when he's preparing to leave Laird's house with Barb and Scotty. Especially when you consider he mostly treated her with disregard and she even went as far as to call him an "asshole" at one point.
• When Laird takes Stephanie home after the disastrous Christmas party at his house, he reveals to Ned that he hadn't asked Stephanie to marry him. Why? Because he still hadn't gotten his blessing. Even after all the conflict between them and their big brawl, Laird still had enough respect for Ned not to propose to Stephanie without his permission.
