Heartwarming / Thomas Was Alone

• Laura early on bemoans that nobody really likes her and they always use her and leave. Chris almost immediately falls in love with her and is rather sweet to her.
• James laments that no one likes him because he's weird (his gravity is reversed). Thomas is initially confused at their meeting, but quickly warms up to him and draws him out of his shell.
• Thomas and the other A.I.s heroic sacrifice to allow the others to escape the system. Thomas' decision to do so is completely selfless and the others seem to have no hesitation on joining him in it.
• Paul convinces Team Jump to escape to safety in 9.8, and protects Jo and Sam from Grey and the Pixel Cloud in 9.9, without much reason other than Grey's intentions are rather selfish and he doesn't want them hurt.
• No matter how crazy one seems or how scared the other acts, Jo and Sam are inseparable and seem to care for each other very much. There could be no better A.I.s to achieve singularity than these two.
• In the Benjamin's Flight DLC, Sarah looks at Benjamin with awe and sees him as a fearless leader and hero. By the end of the story, Sarah is inspired to be a hero and as fearless as Benjamin, which ends up helping her out with Thomas in the main game.
  • Crossed with Tearjerker, Sarah's entire reason of wanting to get to the Fountain in the main game is to find out what happened to Benjamin.
• After the events of the game, the AIs have a civil rights activist that represents them, Ryan, meaning at some point AIs are interested in joining humanity.
