• Similar to Stephen Colbert, one of Jimmy Fallon's shows had an all-soldier audience while they were on shore leave. To cap it off, he and Adam Sandler sang a spoof of Garth Brooks' "Friends in Low Places" - "Friends on All Bases" - in tribute to them.
• After Robin Williams' death in 2014, Jimmy showed a clip from Robin's first appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Afterwards Jimmy stands on his desk and says "O Captain! My Captain!".
• The US women's gymnastics team from the 2016 Olympics appeared on the show to play Hungry Hungry Humans. They were greeted with a standing ovation and chants of "USA! USA!"
• Pup Quiz, for obvious reasons.
• In the wake of Kobe Bryant's death in 2020, Jimmy scrapped his usual monologue in favor of telling the story of how the two of them met at a party in Los Angeles before they became famous and went on a beer run together. Holding back tears, Jimmy promises to go on another beer run with Kobe when he sees him on the other side again.
• When the Covid-19 Pandemic forces the show to film from Jimmy's house we learn that his kids are adorable little agents of chaos, also counts as funny.
