"Shh... don't speak."
- After learning that Leia had openly hoped Rey would kill Aliana in Chapter 13, and that Aliana was afraid that it might actually happen, Rey expresses regret that she's kept such a firm wall between herself and Aliana and apologizes to her. The two mend their friendship with Rey kissing her cheek and asserting that they're okay.
- Aliana's selfless love for Rey reaches its zenith in Chapter 14 when she completely exhausts herself going into Rey's mind and shielding the Force Bond with Kylo Ren while assuring that she doesn't cause her any pain. The level of care she shows to Rey and how important her wellbeing is to her is ultimately what causes Rey to realize just how much she loves her in return.
- Aliana actually spent months mastering the shielding technique, which is no easy feat for her as she is attuned to the Dark Side and the Light Side of the Force is extremely difficult and energy-consuming for her to use. To practice and deploy such a powerful Light Sided technique in spite of the danger to herself in doing so shows how devoted she is to making sure Rey doesn't suffer any more.
- Aliana's reunion with Finn in Chapter 16 has her hug him and express that she missed him.
- Rey's outrage at Leia's plans to use her to facilitate Kylo Ren turning back to the light in Chapter 16 is less directed at being used and more at Leia's double-standard in beliving there's anything of her son worth saving while constantly pouring distrust and derision on Aliana. That Rey is more angry at how Leia is treating her girlfriend than treating her is sweet in it's own way.
- Leia's subsequent apology and tentative truce with Aliana in Chapter 18. After being shown security holos of Aliana crying after Leia's threat, she has somewhat of a change of heart and agrees to be more cordial toward her.
- In Chapter 21, Aliana demonstrates how utterly selfless her love toward Rey is when she throws her lightsaber to stop Rey from being decapitated despite seeing Kylo Ren lunging forward for a deathblow. She knows when she makes that decision that she'll likely die if she does it and doesn't hesitate for a moment.
- Doubles as a tearjerker, but as Rey lays beside Aliana in the medbay on Crait, she pleads with her to wake up.
- Rey: "Don’t just become another statistic in 2V’s database. Live. Get well... Grow old with me."
- When Poe tells Rey that her actions after Starkiller Base were just flat out abusive toward Aliana, Rey is immediately struck with horror at the fact that she basically threatened a confession out of Aliana by holding them in a drifting ship. It gets even worse when Rey remembers that Aliana can't fly a ship on her own.
- When Aliana wakes up, however, Rey immediately sits her down and apologizes. We then learn that Aliana had been dwelling on that for a long time and was afraid to bring it up. Rey promises that the days of Aliana doing all the work in their relationship is over and the two embrace.
