• The final scene, especially Gabriel's off-screen monologue. Gabriel achieves his redemption, aiding Danyael in saving the world from Pyriel. He is returned to being an angel and heals Danyael's love interest Maggie before vanishing to ascend to his place in Heaven. The war is over, and Gabriel has finally reconciled with God, realizing the Word was always there and the universe is not a cold, uncaring place.
  Gabriel: In the end, there's still the Word. Everywhere. In Heaven and its angels. In the earth and stars. Even in the darkest part of the human soul. It was there the Word burned brightest. And for a moment, I was blinded.
• The revelation that Valerie sacrificed her life to protect her son while burning alive. It shows how much she truly loved her child and respected her angel lover even after his death.
