Heartwarming / The Last Voyage of the Demeter

• Clemens saving Toby from getting crushed by the boxes of crates.
• The captain agreeing to help Anna and strikes down his own crew's desire to see her thrown overboard, not wanting a young woman to die or be murdered by superstition.
• Clemens comforting Tony after the boy thinks he has failed his grandfather when the animals on the ship that he was tasked with caring for start dying, since he promised the captain that he would take care of the animals. But Clemens just assures him that nothing about it is his fault and that sometimes things happen no matter what we promise, and that no one is mad at him.
• Anna's touching eulogy for Toby, she did not know the boy well, but still offered him a final prayer, and obviously meant every word of it.
• At one point Captain Elliot turns against Clemens when the latter expresses the intention to sink the Demeter, planning to keep the ship sailing to port under the desperate belief that Dracula will bring Toby back if he does. Anna convinces him to give up by reminding him of his love for and memory of his grandson, telling him to not let Dracula corrupt it the way he's done everything else.
