Spoilers for both series
The First Series
- When Winter fully snaps out of the Darkness' influence, he is genuinely remorseful for everything he did. When Julius goes to speak to him, they both acknowledge that it was Winter's own decision to enter the Darkness in the first place, and Winter apologizes to him. Julius then apologizes to Winter for not showing him the appreciation he deserved for all his hard work, acknowledging his own role in why it all happened. They then hug, Julius comforting Winter and assuring him that things will be different from now on.
The Second Series
- Winter's characterization in the second series demonstrates well that when he isn't overworked or otherwise frustrated with his work, Winter truly does care about Snøfall.
- Having spent several episodes trying to help Pil prepare for his exam, when Pil has his Heroic BSoD, Winter realizes he may have pushed Pil too hard and apologizes to him, promising to take his feelings into consideration more.
- After discovering Luna was the one who made a deal with the Darkness, Winter seeks her out and calmly tries to talk her into backing out of the deal and return to Snøfall. Despite Luna having framed him for her crimes, Winter doesn't hold it against her, since due to the events of the first series, Winter would likely understand what she's probably feeling at that point.
- When Luna does return to Snøfall, Winter is visibly relieved to see that she chose to come back.
- Frida may have a smaller role in this series, but episode 15 gives her a good moment when she is the one who manages to get through to Pil during his Heroic BSoD, giving him a shoulder to cry on and letting him start opening up about what's been bothering him, showing that the friendship they formed in the first series is still strong.
- In episode 23, the naskenisse that had previously refused to show itself, even after befriending Amina, finally decides to let her catch a brief glimpse of himself in order to cheer her up after Noah returns home.
