Several moments in this series are meant to touch the viewer and they succeed.
Chapter One- ''I am SHY!''
- X cheering on Shy after the frosty reception she receives will warm anyone’s heart.
- Pepesha Andreanof/Spirits comes into Teru’s room to cheer her up (in her own eccentric way).
- Even after what happened with his older sister, Koishikawa’s little brother refers to himself as Shy to a firefighter in front of a hotel fire and inadvertently gives Teru a Rousing Speech.Koishikawa’s little brother: Even if we’re scared! As long as we want to save and protect people, then any of us can become a hero!
Chapter Two- ''Duty of Heroes''
- After finding Koishikawa in pain in the staircase, Teru refuses to mind her own business and carries her to the infirmary.
- In the Infirmary this exchange takes place which manages to tug at the heartstrings.Teru: Koishikawa-san, are you…angry at Shy?Koishikawa:…Why would I be?Teru: If Shy had done her job right…your leg wouldn’t be like this right now… It’s what everyone is saying…Koishikawa: They’re wrong. Why would anyone be angry at someone who had done their best to save them? Shy did her best to save me, and she did…just like you just did, Momijiyama-san. Just kidding…!
Chapter Three- ''A Curse''
- While it is a tragic moment, what Koshikawa thinks are her Last Words to Teru is very genuine.Koishikawa: When you called out to me at the stairs…I felt…happy…But…I don’t want…I don’t want you to be hurt also…for my sake…Thank you. I like you, Momijiyama-san. Goodbye.
- In the end after a pep talk from Shy, Koshikawa finally says what she’s always needed to.Koishikawa: Momijiyama-san…Help me…!!Shy: I will!!
Chapter Four- ''All My Heart''
- After having a vision of her parents telling her to not blame herself, Koishikawa is embraced by Shy and returns to normal.
- In the end, Koshikawa sees her parents in Shy and tearfully thanks her for saving her.
