Heartwarming / Our Idiot Brother

• Roughly, it could be said that movie could be one. Despite his idealism, Ned is a charming character. In another situation, he would be a scrappy, but in this movie it's heartwarming that he's such a nice person all around and his behavior is framed as admirable rather than foolish.
• In the deleted alternate ending, Ned holding Nat's newborn son, remarking on what a good looking kid his new nephew is. We also see his sisters say how much they'll miss him on the road, showing they've become much closer.
