For as much of a Dysfunction Junction in a World of Jerkass as it presents itself as, Oresuki has a surprising number of genuine and heartfelt moments.

- After everyone has hit rock bottom and all seems lost, what left is there to do? Pick yourself up, apologize, and try to be a better person. The first arc ultimately concludes not with the Gambit Pileup having a Manipulative Bastard on top of everyone, but everyone admitting they were in the wrong and making sincere efforts to patch up their friendships.
- Cosmos’s words to Asunaro after her plan is foiled, showing how much she’s learned since the events of the first arc.
- Tsubaki’s conversation with Joro at the end of the third arc, where he comes to appreciate himself and his role in everyone’s lives.

- Despite the Cavalry Betrayal in the season finale, Cosmos and Himawari affirm their friendships with Pansy as a Friendly Rivalry, and she takes it in stride. In the OVA, Cosmos, Himawari, and Asunaro all prove that this was not merely empty words, as they insist that they will remain Pansy’s friends even after learning that the penalty has been changed so Joro can’t be with any of Pansy’s friends if he loses.
