• Pretty much anytime Goro is on-screen.
• Lucy and Emma getting along in Episode 9. It's nice to see Lucy finally have fun and make a new friend after her depressing backstory.
• Despite the situation they're in, Episode 11 has a number of these:
  • While trying to fall asleep, Berecca and Burton have a brief heart-to-heart, reminiscing on the experiments they did prior to turning into kids.
    Burton: Look at this place. Makes me miss spending my days with my experiments.
    Berecca: Can't say I hate this experiment.
    Burton: Are you serious?
    Berecca: Just a bit.
  • Jane, Lucy, Van, and Kappei telling ghost stories around the fire to help lighten the mood during their survival training.
  • Ron making coffee for his team in the morning of their second day.
• Episode 12 has Burton and Jane figuring out that they're not so different and later sharing a high-five after destroying the Space Ninja attacking them.
• Episode 14 focuses on Burton attempting to make a secret base for himself and Berecca, which he wants to surprise her with. However, once it's accidentally discovered by Van and Kappei, he decides to open it up to the entire class.
• Bruce trying to have a talk with Burton because he thinks he's stressed from school. It's a small but heartwarming gesture and shows how much he truly cares for his students.
• After Lucy lost friends in the past because of her terrifying powers, Emma tells her in episode 16 that she thinks she looked cool using her powers on the Space Ninja, shocking Lucy.
• In Episode 17, the WNA lunch lady visits both Ron and Jane, who are "out sick" to focus on their infiltration of WNA HQ, and delivers each of them their favorite meals to help them feel better. It's a small but heartwarming gesture to see that the lunch lady genuinely cares for them.
• When Berecca and Burton discover Leonard, the latter isn't so sure that Berecca's the same person since she doesn't look like she's aged, but he believes her once she reminds her of the time he caught her covered in soot after she snuck into the lab and the bouquet of flowers he gave her on her tenth birthday.
  • Immediately after this scene, we see a flashback of these events happening, and it's heart-meltingly adorable.
• After hearing about Leonard and his situation, all of the kids present in the room are willing to join Berecca and Burton to help save Leonard.
• Burton visits Ron on the rooftop in an attempt to convince him to join the rescue mission. When Ron declines, Burton finally decides to ask Ron if he's the same one who worked with him and Berecca to make the Ninja Gum and makes it clear that despite Ron's betrayal, he's pretty sure that he had a good reason for it and still considers him a friend. While Ron ends up bailing the conversation and claims to Jane that he doesn't like letting his guard down around Burton, he eventually comes around and helps save him and Berecca from the Obiwabanshu and finally confirms to Burton that, yes, he is in fact the same Ron.
• In Episode 21, Berecca talks with Jane about the times she and Burton spent with her father, Sean. We see multiple flashbacks of Berecca and Burton with Sean, with Berecca reminiscing on how excited he would get when an experiment (be it his own or Berecca and Burton's) was successful.
  • In the same scene, crossing over with funny, after Jane reveals that she and Ron knows about Berecca and Burton's situation and that the four of them are all in the same boat, she and Berecca bond over lamenting not being old enough to have a drink.
• When the crew get word that Berecca's crew are close to finishing their mission and that the incoming WNA extermination squad is on their way to finish the Shadow Ninja base, Burton immediately steps up to go to Oedo as well, worried that the group might get caught in the crossfire. Everyone jumps in and convinces Genryusai to let them go to help their friends.
• Seeing the crew in awe over Lucy's powers, even asking her if she could show them again, can be a very heartwarming sight after all the shit she went through in her backstory.
• After escaping the base, there's a moment where the adult members of the crew discuss their situations and Ron finally accepts Burton's friendship with a warm smile.
• After beating Berecca in the tournament, there's a moment where Burton tells himself that he has to win just for himself, but for her as well.
• In Episode 33, it's revealed that not long after the car incident, Chloe found out from Lucy's parents that Lucy used her powers to save her life, leading her to write a letter about this and how she still considers Lucy her friend regardless of her terrifying abilities.
