Heartwarming / MacGyver (1985)

• In "The Odd Triple", while Mac and Dalton are trying to snoop around a building with high security. Out of nowhere, a rabbit shows up and sets off an alarm. Instead of saving himself, Dalton actually scoops up the rabbit and protects it, in his own words.
  Dalton: (to the rabbit) You owe me one.
  • Also counts as a moment of funny.
• Mac and Jack have several interactions in "Brainwashed" that count as this. It really shows the depth of their friendship.
• "Passages" has Mac talking to his deceased parents and Grandpa Harry in the boat to the afterlife. And the symbolism of him attempting to escape the boat after finding out that his friends are still waiting for him in the realm of the living represents Mac finally getting over his guilt of not being by his loved ones' side when they passed away, which was hinted at in previous episodes. What a way to cap off season 5.
• "To Be A Man" in episode 1 has Mac spare the life of a Soviet soldier. In return, the man refuses to turn him over to the Soviets hunting him, even though this means he's going to be court-martialed for dereliction of duty.
• Near the end of "Twenty Questions". Lisa, after MacGyver saves her from the murderous thug trying to kill her. Admitting that she really does have a drinking problem, Mac comforts her by pointing out that even admitting that makes her a pretty brave kid.
  • The fact that Holly, the man's girlfriend had enough of a conscience to reveal his plans to Mac, thus, saving Lisa's life.
• The ending of "The Wall" where it's revealed despite suspicions of Maria Romburg being an imposter, she is able to prove her identity, and she and Otto can finally live in peace and reconnect as a family.
• A posthumous one for Harry in "Harry's Will", after he's passed away. He makes certain his old friend Cody, a convict who he'd always tried to help stay on the straight and narrow, led him and his grandson Mac on a treasure hunt, having hidden the jeweled pin that Cody had been locked away for stealing years before. In the end, even in death Harry manages to lecture Cody into doing the right thing with the pendant, and using it to save a soup kitchen run by Nun's.
• From part one of "Good Knight MacGyver", after Mac has just saved Arthur's life, the king beseeches MacGyver to help Merlin and his knights against Morgana. And restore the honor of his family name.
  MacGyver: (with a thoughtful smile) I can see why they made you king.
• Absolutely any time Mac is a Friend to All Children, especially the one episode where he and Jack are taking care of (what they think is) Jack's baby son.
