  • Kate coming to Victoria's defense when Max flies into a PTSD-induced rage on her.

  • Victoria becomes enraged when a reporter trying to interview Max shoves Kate out the the way and knocks her over. To the point that she punches the man, hard enough break his nose and her own hand.
    • Plus many students, including Dana, and Trevor try to make a barrier of themselves to keep the reporters away from Max.
  • Kate, Victoria, and Dana helping Max after her fight with Chloe, when they find her just sitting outside during a heavy rainstorm.
  • Although the scene is mostly Tear Jerker due to it being at Rachel's funeral, Chloe and Mr. Amber bury the hatchet with each other.
  • Mostly Tear Jerker, but during Max's suicide attempt the other girls in the dorm, especially Kate and Dana are concerned (As are some of the guys who show up later.) and when Chloe arrives and manages to save her, there are several people recording, Chloe gets mad, and it is Victoria who chases them off.
  • After Max's outburst towards Victoria and Kate's intervention, Courtney and Taylor come and after Courtney calls Max a drama queen, it is Victoria who tells them to stop. And after revealing everything about how their bullying was harming Kate, how nasty they had been, and what happened to Kate and her at the hands of Jefferson, they both are remoseful and apologize to Kate for everything.
  • Azumi, despite Max punching her for kissing Chloe, manages to convince Principal Wells from expelling her. As she sees Max as talented and doesn't want her to throw her future away over it.
  • Kate protecting Chloe when Sean Prescott is about to shoot her.
    • Likewise, Officer Berry pushes Kate aside and is shot himself protecting her. Mixed with Tear Jerker, as it is revealed he didn't survive being shot.
  • When Max cuts her hair and messes it up, Kate enlists Courtney's help give her a make over. Courtney is all too happy to help.
  • While there are some parents, such as Mrs. Marsh, and at first Vanessa Caulfield who are not so supporting of their daughters for being gay, Vanessa does come around eventually, and it's implied that Mr. Marsh and Kate's sisters come around. Ryan Caulfield says he will love Max no matter what, Joyce and David are supportive to begin with, and so are Mr. and Mrs. Chase, it also turns out that they knew all along and were waiting for her to say it.
