• Hiccup and Astrid seem to have a happy marriage. Just like the movie sequels, they’re supportive and affectionate without being gooey about it.
  • Likewise they’re also shown to be good parents to Zephyr and Nuffink, doing all they can to keep them and their generation from making the same mistakes their ancestors did.
• Based on Toothless’ drawing, it’s clear that he remembers and misses Hiccup. He even wants to take the Night Lights for a visit.

• Zephyr putting herself between Nuffink and Hiccup’s malfunctioning dragon suit, armed with the stake she was sharpening during the pageant.
• When the Night Lights make their way to Berk, Dart, the ringleader of the three immediately recognizes Hiccup from Toothless’ drawing. She immediately wants to meet him, though she's stopped by her brothers.
• Toothless rescuing Hiccup when the pageant goes awry. Hiccup thinks it’s Gobber that rescued him but Toothless doesn’t care.
  • Toothless actually doesn't figure out Hiccup is inside the suit until after he hauls him back onto the cliff, identifying him by scent. Meaning it could have been anyone inside that suit, and Toothless' first instinct was to lunge in and save them, whoever it was.
• The recreation of the hand touch. In spite of the disastrous turn the pageant took, it all works out in the end, with the little gesture that started the series.
• Toothless and Zephyr seeing each other with awe and wonder. Zephyr’s fear of dragons just dissolves on the spot and Toothless stares at Zephyr as if to say “You’re Hiccup’s hatchling!”
• Zephyr setting off her last dragon trap before letting everyone inside the house. It probably helps that Hiccup wasn’t caught that time, but he smiles and says to himself “So proud!”
