Heartwarming / Godzilla: New Era

• Yuki Ichinose having an Establishing Character Moment by getting both Shinodas, after Yuji and Io had a harsh argument that left both emotionally really, settled back down over a simple takeout dinner.
• Mothra sending the Shobijin to help Godzilla as she's still too injured from the battle with Grand King Ghidorah, entrusting the King of the Monsters to defend the planet for now.
• Yuki assisting Yuji during his mental breakdown and helping him learn to pray when there is nothing else they can do to help a comatose Io.
• Over the course of the final battle it's implied and then outright confirmed that Godzilla, the fully matured "Junior", arrived in Kyoto not just to stop the Millennian, but to save Io and protect as many humans as he can.
  • In a moment of emotions running high in the finale, Io runs to a wounded Yuki and calls her "Mom".
  • Despite everything that happened between then, when Katagiri succumbs to blood loss and falls from the edge of Kyoto Institute to his death he glimpses Godzilla reach for and try to catch him. The fact his dead body is found not splattered against the ground and gently laid down with Godzilla walking away implies Junior did try to save him.
• The subtle shifts in the wind at the Shinoda family grave when Ichinose pays her respects to the departed Asuka Shinoda implying Asuka's spirit approves of her.
• Takaaki Aso, finally at peace, putting his personal war with the Godzilla to rest by holding a small funeral for the 1954 and 1984 individuals at Odo Island in the hopes they might finally rest in peace.
