The world of Spring Garden holds its fair share of tragedies in its history, yet it remains a world half-full, with its many Flower Knights striving to bring happiness to the broken hearted and fearful. Because of the ideals of its many knights and the eternal strive for hope in the face of adversity, there are many moments to invoke happy feelings.
Main Campaign
Chapter 4
- Leschenaultia goes to find Khepri, after the latter runs away from the people hunting her, to share with them her hobby of drawing Pests — a secret she keeps close to her heart due to the populations general view of insects — and wishes for the latter to confide with them about their circumstances, to which Khepri reciprocates, setting their friendship in stone.
- Near the climax of Mission 11, Khepri and Serket find themselves at their low point: consciously broken by their "god" and left without their own volition, unable to do anything but obey. But then a disembodied voice calls to them, implied to be of their mother, asking them if Haqq's intentions are truly what they wanted — to which they realize and break out of their state, calling back their Heralds as well. Doubles as an Awesome moment, especially with the Flower Knight cavalry arriving afterwards to reinforce the duo's beliefs in the group.Khepri: Once... Spring Garden is destroyed...
Serket: ...We'll be... Saved...
Truly?
Khepri: Truly... That's what our god has told us...
Truly?
Serket: I don't want to admit it, but truly... That's what our god — Haqq-sama...
If we follow Haqq-sama, then there will be no problems... Truly? Have you thought about this yourselves?
Serket: ...No thinking, nothing...
Khepri: Our Carenthus will...
Is only Carenthus enough? Don't you know there are far more worlds?
Khepri: Other worlds... Spring Garden... That's right... That's right, I... I want to be friends with everyone... To understand everyone... Those feelings alone are mine... They aren't Haqq-sama's...! Onei-chan!!
Serket: ...My dream has changed... It's far bigger than it was... Carenthus alone is no longer enough... That dream alone is mine... There's nobody else who can make it come true...!- With Haqq's summon dealt with and Marici purified, the latter still seems to be rampaging towards Spring Garden and doesn't seems to be stopping on its own. Khepri decides to "become one with Marici-sama" and stays behind — with Serket defying her wishes to stay with her in their final moments — to take control of Marici through spirit and die with them. But just before she chose to go through with her plan, the spirit of their mother appears before the duo to reprimand them for this and exchange with her daughters her final goodbyes and how proud she is of them, sending them away safely.
