- Despite all their fighting, (accused) backstabbing, and dysfunction, the Carringtons' first and foremost priority is family.
- Blake and Cristal's relationship where, despite the implications that he's going through a mid-life crisis and she's a Gold Digger, they're shown to legitimately love each other. This makes her death all the more tragic, especially as they had one of their worse fights yet to the point that Cristal was planning to leave Blake.

Episode 25: The Butler Did It
- Cristal Jennings, the woman whose identity Cristal Flores used to come to the States, appears at the Carrington Manor. While previous women had shown up claiming the same for a payday, Cristal simply wants to help Blake through the grieving process of losing his wife and her friend.
- While its apparent they met offscreen, its revealed that Cristal (the real one) and Sam get along great and he's even upset that she has to leave so soon. They speak to each other in Spanish and she even gives him her locket, a gift from Celia/Cristal (Carrington), as a keepsake.
- In the short time they get to know each other, its clear that Blake and Cristal have a mutual attraction to the point the reason she leaves is because she realizes it would be a bad idea.
Cristal: [After helping with a cramp in his neck] I'm a healer. That was our deal. - Once the dots are connected by Kirby, Anders becomes livid upon realizing that Alexis set fire to Fallon's room as a girl to get rid of Kirby after learning they had a one-night stand.

- Jeff offering to help Culhane get out of situation with the woman whose blackmailing him.
