- Brandon Stark and Rhaenys daughter of Aegon finally meet face to face. Brandon for his part is smitten in Love at First Sight. Rhaenys finally gains her own affections after seeing Brandon bravely approach her dragon.
- After being estranged for weeks due to Aegon permitting Maegor to marry Ceryse Hightower, Visenya finally relents in her anger that a queen and a king should've stayed together to talk rather than her hide on Dragonstone.
- The love and care that Aegon and Visenya show their kids as they show off the Red Keep for the first time.
- Maegor properly bonds with Balerion for the first time, leading to the family going flying together. Screaming their joy as they begin to heal from Aegon's death.
- While everyone is filled with their own reservations about Aenys being crowned the new king of Westeros, Aenys for his part gives 2 speeches. First, that he wishes nothing more than joy and peace to create a more united national character for The Seven Kingdoms.
- And second, he approaches Maegor, proclaiming that he couldn't hope to accomplish anything without the help of his brother. And that together, they will rule the realm successfully.
- Dick Bean saves Rhaena's chastity through brave interventions in Casterly Rock.
- The Sand bastard of house Martell is so enraptured of a young Valeryon, that despite the political quagmire it could set off, she silently tells herself that she'd gladly have a child from this charming, beautiful young man.
- When Visenya confronts Maegor about Rheana's new pregnancy, she's quick to point out that even though it'd be politically advantageous to just set aside Ceryse due to the lack of fertility, as Targs, they will not allow Maegor to abandon his first wife even if he must make things right with Rhaena.
- Even though much of the realm grew in anger at finding out about Maegor bedding and wedding Rhaena, Aegon the younger instead finds himself relieved. As he sees Rhaena's sincere love for Maegor, he instead finally decides to make things official with his true love: Alys Harroway.
- Even as Alys and Aegon endue a long seige of Castamere, a glimmer of hope for the future emerges as after a sorte that destroyed the siege engines, Alys says that Aegon has to live for all of them. Including their future child.
- Jaehaerys and Maegor finally have a make up talk after they broke apart due to Jae finding out Maegor's Dark Secret about him and Alyssa.
- To ensure a strong presence in the capitol while on campaign, Maegor and Rhaena conduct a marriage ceremony so that Tyanna is now among their ranks as a Queen.
- After a long and dangerous journey back to the Dragonkeep, Ceryse finds a little good luck in recognizing one of the gate guards as having been part of her old retinue. And once realizing who it is, the guard is quick to call on the other guards to bow to Queen Ceryse.
- Ceryse finally reunites with her husband.
- As part of learning to become a better Targaryen, Ceryse also indulges in her first lesbian experience with Rheana and comes to fully embrace her new identity as a dragon thanks to the care and pleasures that she's now experiencing.
