- While Anne and Jake abandoned their dates, leaving the dock after a screaming match with each other, Holly and Lyle end up finding romance with each other.

- Beth recalls all of her childhood memories with fondness, including one where she was hurt on a fishing trip.

- Brenda, despite being annoyed about the whole outing, reassures her husband he doesn't have to one-up anyone.
- Sherry and Hal's interactions, being the family goofballs.

- Corey, noticing Liberty has been tense, plans an afternoon for them, including a picnic he made himself.
I'm Staying With You
- Stanley, despite how he acts, clearly cares about Sidney. He's concerned about her being out in the cold.
Epilogue
- The ending, mixed with Tear Jerker: Sidney’s ghost appears and hugs Stanley. He feels her spirit, but he can’t see her. He leaves the dock in tears. Sidney tries to fish but fails. The ghost of Jonathan(Beth’s dad) appears young and healthy. He gives her the same advice he gave young Beth non-verbally.
