Answered a few questions. On another note, it ain't clear if Kikiyama is one person or if their identity is male, female, or nonbinary, at the moment.

to:

***The manga suggest that Uboa is female, tho, it ain't clear ''what'' Uboa's supposed to even be—A SplitPersonality of Poniko's or TwoBeingsOneBody?

Added DiffLines:

***Yes, they're still alive, as they gave an interview with Toby Fox (late 2022 and very early 2023 IIRC)

* If Madotsuki's only game is NASU, why is there an entire area of her mind paying homage to ''VideoGame/{{Mother}}''? I mean, if she played and liked a game about love and friendship ''that'' much, VideoGame/YumeNikki would have a different ending...

** Let's not forget, ''VideoGame/{{Mother|1}}'' and ''VideoGame/EarthBound'' certainly have dark sides to their stories too. Most people focus on the uplifting message of hope and friendship, but another side of the story certainly exists. In fact, Itoi likened Earthbound to a prostitute in an interview that he gave on the subject, and there are a lot of articles out there which deconstruct it and show how seriously messed up a lot of the stuff in the series really is.

* If Madotsuki's time in the Real World is really her waking life, how on Earth does she stay alive? It's fairly obvious that she at least dreams that she's a biologically normal human being (she can apparently drink health drinks and go to the bathroom in her dreams, and some of the aspects of her dreams are uncomfortably visceral), but she never does anything but sleep, write in her diary, and play NASU. Unless the game takes place over the course of a single night and she's hallucinating the time changes outside, which is far from impossible, she should have died [[spoiler:quite awhile before the ending]] from dehydration.

** It could be that time in the dream world passes differently than in the waking world, which is an actual thing that happens in real life. If that isn't the case, this can be explained by the AllJustADreamTheories.

** As for the Jellyfish I personally don't think they're ''literally'' there. They're just credits decoration, maybe with meaning or maybe not, but I don't think they're actually present physically.

** As for why NASU is her only game, perhaps the circumstances that led to her current situation involved losing some or a lot of her possessions. It could be anything, really.

\n** Although it's much better to use "they/them" for genderless/unknown gender...er...beings. Or maybe just "it" considering we don't even know if Uboa is ''sentient''.
