Headscratchers / Wrath of Man

  • After H gets free during the Fortico heist, why didn't he warn the fellow security guards that Bullet is the traitor? H could have prevented Boy Sweat and the others from being lured to their deaths and used the extra distraction to end things right there with Jan.
    • H was wounded and exhausted, and there was an active gun battle going on. He was purely in survival mode and couldn't just shout out there is a traitor in the midst.
  • Sarge's crew planned that any team members who fell would have their families taken care of by the survivor[s]. Except any fallen members would be quickly identified, with any known associates and their families all watched very closely for signs of sudden monetary windfalls. Even if the sole survivor were feeling generous, they'd never see a dime.
    • The crew probably understood any survivors would have to go underground after a heist this big. When underground, the heisters lay low for a year or two, then trickle the money in to their fallen ally's family, be it through lottery setups, mysterious inheritances from a long-lost uncle, etc.
  • The final plan involves Bullet burning his cover identity. The rest of the robbers planned to lie low with their earnings, but there's never any indication of how Bullet planned to get away or how his involvement wouldn't help lead back to the robbers.
    • Jackson was Bullet's only point of contact with the gang, and given they all served in a military there are likely a large number of similar leads that could be investigated. Jackson had a job which was barely keeping him afloat; it's possible he wasn't using any of the stolen funds yet so that any investigation would find nothing wrong with his finances.
  • In the second part, we learn that H's gang is working with the ex-soldiers, and Mike seems to be the go-between. But during the "scorched earth" search for Dougie's killer, neither Mike nor H nor any of their associates even bring them up. And when we see the ex-soldiers up close later on, they're a completely closed circle and nobody ever mentions an association with any other criminals.
    • They weren’t “working with” the ex-soldiers at all. They just happened to pull an armored car heist on the same company. Note how each of the three gangs we see run heists have very different methods. The first group (led by Post Malone) is sloppy and untrained. When H starts shooting they panic and go down like flies. The second group (H’s crew) keep the guards blind and deaf with smoke and paint so they can make off with the take unscathed and avoid casualties. The third group, the ex-soldiers, are militarily precise, use high-grade weaponry, and are clearly more comfortable taking lives (Sarge and Bullet basically shrug off the guards’ deaths and only feel slightly bad about Dougie’s death). They’re three different crews who just happen to have the same targets.
