  • In Bloodborne, guns do as much damage as a peashooter, and they are only effective in staggering enemies for visceral attacks. Here, even if the bullet misses the head, guns are almost guaranteed to be a One-Hit Kill. To further elaborate, a quicksilver bullet fired from Kyril's Hunter Pistol has enough force to snap back someone's head. Why is that the case?
    • Assuming that Kyril himself is an end-game hunter, his Bloodtinge and all the firearms he has are likely at max level.
    • Another possibility is that the enemies in Yharnam are a whole other level in comparison to those in the Kuroinu 'verse. That is, the latter ones are weaker.
    • The reason why guns are ineffective against Beasts is that they are too tough, not because they are weak. The description of Quicksilver bullets states that conventional rounds are useless against them. There is also might be a case of gameplay mechanics since the Bloodborne prequel comic "Death of Sleep" has the Blunderbuss outright blow up a man's head.
